I decided to build a gaming rig because I can gather the parts one by one. I posted a progress report on Threads, the site that was replacing Twitter. I assumed no one would notice/care because my posts don't get seen, especally on Twitter. I neglected to communicate I found a build list from a man on YouTube that builds PCs. Also, I failed to communicate the motherboard type, CPU etc I planned on using. The items pictured were on his list at the time I found it, and added them to my cart in the order I chose to buy them. The guy updates his list when items run out of stock etc. He posted the video before Halloween and I found his list a month after. He made it FOR the 2025 gaming season. Suppoesdly, due to that key info missing, my posts was flooded with comments from faceless bot accounts/armchair critics claiming the build was "sketchy" as if I bought it from a scammy dude in an alley. etc I tend to get ovwehelmed being flooded with comments like that. Others chewed me for using an "outdated" build. I went to Best Buy to see if they sold PC parts in case the parts on the man's list sold out. I showed her what was in my cart and showed her the guy I'm talking about and she trusts him. I added the parts from his list to the PC picker website and everything checked out
