In the middle of our fast-paced world, we sometimes forget how to take slow breaths and slow walks, we become hyperfocused to what is ahead of us that we forget to appreciate the calmness and stillness of life. Where am I? Who am I? What am I even doing? How much time has passed by already?
To notice the fact that I have been racing against life these past weeks and have not been totally living it, is a bliss. I halted and went on a spontaneous date with a friend.

What other best comfort could I have other than a cup of coffee and a view of the lovely felines gracefully walking around the premise.

On our way home, my friend and I made a stop to **Mimi Cafe**. It's a dainty coffee shop right by the sea.

It's an animal friendly cafe considering that its main hosts are the cats, and I think that's probably the reason behind its name. I believe the word **Mimi** originated from *Miming* which is a Cebuano term for cats.

The cafe's interior highlights the beauty of its minimalistic designs giving comfort and peace to the mind of those who seek for it.

My friend and I picked the right ones from their menu. A cup of their Mimi Macchiato for each of us, a Nutella Almond Croffle with an ice cream on top drizzled with chocolate syrup, and regular fries.

We slowly devoured the stuffs we ordered over random conversations. We talked about nostalgic things that were hidden in our subconscious such as how the both of us watched traumatic animated movies growing up which we are not complaining about.

Other than that, I also enjoyed playing with Sofia the only cat who was inside the cafe at that time. Her fluffy tail and soft fur were an additional treat for me.

I caress her tummy and showered her with adoring words. I later met her other two companions outside the cafe—sunbathing.

And look at what I have captured as we were taking photos outside—a bunch of lovely daisies, my favorites 🌼, sitting right at the doorway.

While my friend was taking photos of me, this handsome little fella approached me and asked for a pet on its head which I gladly did for him.

Another great thing about this cafe is that they give its customers a free pass to the beach to see the ocean. And boy! I realized how much I've missed the sea.

Visiting the cafe was the highlight of the day! It gave me the break I did not realized I needed until then. It's a place I see myself going back again and again.

I just really love how coffee shops big or small ones like Mimi cafe gives much of a comfort to every tired souls out there.

It would be lovely to go back there, read a book while taking sips of their delicious coffee and bites of their yummy pastries.
