Our creativity depletes as we grow olders. Well, that's what other people say. However, I personally think everything is a matter of choice. It's for you to decided whether to completely let go of your creativity or to explore more sides of it.
I grew up watching anime—it's my childhood. One may call me a geek when it comes to anime. I always go back to it no matter how life gets busier. It's one thing that brings me comfort after all. I learned how to draw because of my love for it and because of my desire to draw my favorite characters.
And now, in the midst of such hectic chapter in my life, I discover a new hobby. A hobby that I've been interested into a long time, but I did not really had the courage to try it out at first. It's cosplaying!
I finally decided to cosplay. I decided to cosplay **Howl** from *Studio Ghibli's Howl's Moving Castle*. Yes, that amazing and handsome wizard.
I bought the essentials: the wig, the jewelries, and I was also supposed to buy the iconic Howl coat, but for some reason the seller cancelled my order and wasn't able to get it at the end. It was such a bummer, but I decided to make ends through and just used what's in closet.
I first tried doing it without styling the wig and just put on my white shirt & just a short since I was too lazy to put on my black pants haha.
I did my makeup the way I usually do and put on the jewelries and kaboom took some photos. As you noticed, I mostly took photos in an angle that hides my face; filmed some TikTok videos and called it a day.
The second time I tried dressing up as Howl, I decided to style the wig—cut the bangs a little bit and straightened it. After watching TikTok videos of some cosplayer, I learned a thing or two on how to do cosplay makeup. I just tried it out and experimented. I am not that great at doing makeup like how other girls usually are, but learning it for cosplay sparks more interests in me.
With that being said, I exerted more effort in doing my eye makeup and the contours. And I'm satisfied to how I did it.
This time I decided to just put on my sweater and a black pants. I took some photos and videos and this time showed a lot of my face since I worked hard in doing the makeup.
Doing this at home for the first time is so much fun and I cannot wait to do more cosplays of my beloved characters. I might do **Gojo** or **Dazai** next? Or maybe Sou-sama from *"How I End Up in an All-Guy Mixer"* anime (highly recommend this one). But the thing is I'm quite afraid on putting contact lenses since haven't tried it even once in my life. But yeah, I'll make sure to share here my future cosplay journeys. You can all look forward to it.
