I made a short video on TikTok today about friendships. It was actually based on my fish reactions. I was trying to pass a message across based on my experience with making friends. I said, “You call them friends, but for real, they are nothing but strangers.”
The human heart is so deep that you can hardly tell who is who. You can hardly distinguish the good from the bad. You have to relate to them as they come forward. Some will keep a distance, while some will just get extremely close.
The fish in my pond attacked one among them that happened to show some sign of weakness. They were all swimming peacefully together, but when it got weak, they should come to its aid and support it. They attacked it instead.
We can't stay alone; we just have to relate with people, and that's why we are humans. But being selective of who we relate with is of utmost importance.
In life, we have heard and seen a lot of people go astray due to the type of friends they keep. And also, we have seen a lot of people achieve success in life due to the type of friends they also relate with.
## The Good Friend
The heart is so deep that we can hardly know what others have in mind about us. Some are as poisonous on the inside, but on the outside they appear attractive. But there are also some who have good intent; no matter what, they will always have that stand without change.
A good friend comes from a good mutual meetup and relationship. One of the factors I realized about good friends is that meeting them comes so rightfully. You can't be doing something bad and expect to meet a good person there. That's a No. The mutuality comes from practicing almost the same thing and seeing a better future together.
Just yesterday, I had a call that made my day. I called a good friend of mine, and we really talked for a long time. It was like we brought back memories. It's been years since we saw each other, but it felt like yesterday. I was still on call with him, not knowing he had added the third person to the call.
I heard his voice and was like Wow! Been a long, long while since we got together like this. We joked, had fun, and talked about our future plans. They are really good friends to me. We all aim and work towards seeing each other progress in life, and when there is an opportunity, we always share with each other.
What's with a friendship that you all can't be on the same level?
We had plans for the month-end so we could meet up and then also visit places, take pictures, and create unending memories together. That's the value I feel comes from good friendships.
