In this advanced age where almost everything is digitalized or have screens, can we call it a blessing or a curse. Is technology really empowerment or trying to take over from us? Is technology really making dumb humans or are we just over reacting? Are we really in control or has technology got us all under it's thumbs? These are burning questions I ask myself as I see the tech industry evolving.

When I saw my screen time I could not believe that this was me, this was the amount of time I spent on my phone. I mean I knew I spent a lot of time on my phone but I just realized that I just spent the whole day scrolling mindlessly on my phone not achieving anything relevant. In a world were almost everything is digitalized and pixelated, it is easy to get lost and every hard not to get addicted. I feel like this is the problem, people mindlessly scrolling without achieving something worthwhile. Technology is a very powerful tool, that can make or break. Information at your fingertips, connecting with loved one and friends, the convenience it offers, I won't say that it hasn't served and made life easier, because it has.

With the advent of such a perfect tool, it is hard not to get dependent and reliant on our devices and gadgets, even I have fallen prey and been dragged into this mindless loop. The thing about this devices is that it has been designed so perfect, it fill your needs, that letting go is hard. It keeps you in a loop, you keep coming, picking your phone and gadgets for that dopamine hit. You spend hours on your phone, losing sleep, without achieving anything, you wonder where all the time went. Now I don't mean technology is evil or that we should cancel all technology and go back to the stone age but find a balance; a middle ground, where we are connected but not so much that we get addicted and offline but not so much that we miss out on opportunities.

I know being online is a brag but it's okay to go offline too, to recharge. Take breaks, use screen limits, pick up a book, reduce doom scrolling, start a new hobby, feed dopamine with positive addictions. Technology is powerful as well as addictive and can amplify the quality of our lives when use right. Technology is not the bad guy here, it's the way we choose to use it. USE with INTENTION.
