Hello, coffee lovers around the world.
I'm happy to join the Prompt for week 130.
How do you decide if a coffee shop is better for work or socializing? Of course I've made this decision.
For work, without a doubt, the ideal one in Las Tunas would be El Café Real.
It's a small place, but not so small that you're too close to other people. On the contrary, there's enough distance between tables so that other customers don't bother us.
Something that greatly contributes to comfort is that the space is air-conditioned. Therefore, the temperature is comfortable for working, and people cannot smoke inside. And you know, when you smoke, you talk. And the latter is fatal for concentrating.
Another advantage is that there are several wall outlets, so I can bring my laptop and plug it in to work.
This coffee shop is never noisy, and when one or more customers start to raise their voices, the bartender is the first to ask them to keep it down.
For socializing, I go to Orlando Cafe. It's outdoors, although they also have a good indoor space.
Several writers and artists from different artistic fields meet at this café to chat, mainly in the mornings. But also at night, as it also hosts artistic activities such as poetry readings, musical performances, and even rock concerts.
I couldn't choose which of the two is better, since each fulfills its purpose and each has its advantages over the other. I think the only thing that could tip the scales one way or another would be the quality and variety of the coffee. In this regard, Café Real makes a significant difference.
Luckily, they are very close to each other, so when I need to socialize or work, my destinations are almost in the same direction.
