No, this has nothing to do with the blockchain. Of course, Hive is amazing and my safe haven. And it is exactly what it promises to be. "Okay, so what are you talking about?" Lend me your ears for a couple of minutes. When I first got introduced to Hive, I wouldn’t say I was totally lost because I had a fair idea of how the blockchain works, but the problem was I felt like I wasn’t fitting in. Because of this experience of mine, anytime I tell someone about the blockchain and they show interest, I take them through orientation. For some, it’s 2 weeks, and sometimes even a whole month for others, depending on their willingness to learn, their schedule and their level of understanding when it comes to technology. So there was this lady I introduced to the blockchain. I actually explained spend hbd to her, and she was so excited because she saw it as an opportunity to reach a wider audience with her business. We both had a packed schedule at that time, so we agreed on a time for me to help her navigate the blockchain. I sent her through everything and even signed her up. She already knew she was supposed to introduce herself and that of her business on the blockchain, so from what she told me, she was working on it. While explaining how the blockchain works, she told me she was going to be consistent. She promised to engage, be active, and many other things. If it’s today that she’ll make her introduction post, I don’t know. Maybe tomorrow? She still hasn’t even written “the” with her account. ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmUfEk1Q81TsxMUgCXktyEn3emxLS6CBsvuzEyWQEwko6d/fullsizerender.jpg) I should definitely ask her if she has plans of being a politician because she’s really good at promising stuff. So here’s the funny part of the story: she texted me back some weeks ago to tell me something that shocked me. She said that she intentionally ignored me because she knew I was going to be given a percentage of money for onboarding her. But she was waiting for me to tell her I was going to give her part of the money since she was the reason why I was getting the money in the first place. I asked her who told her I was going to be given money for onboarding her and she couldn’t say anything. I sent her a thumbs up emoji and archived her chat. To be honest, I was pissed at that time, but now, I just laugh about it. Because how did someone who was excited about reaching a wider audience with her business suddenly become interested in something else? Indeed, money shows people’s true colors and intentions. And for this particular person, I’m glad it happened even before I could blink twice.
