It is very nice to share family anecdotes here in this community because I know it is like archiving something very precious that will remain for a long time. On this occasion I want to tell you about a very peculiar experience that happened to me with my parents. I hope you enjoy reading my publication and even better that you can take advantage of it.

Es muy bonito compartir anécdotas familiares aquí en esta comunidad porque sé que es como archivar algo muy preciado que permanecerá por mucho tiempo. En esta ocasión quiero contarles una experiencia muy peculiar que me ocurrió con mis padres. Espero que sea de su gusto leer mi publicación y mejor aun que puedan sacarle provecho.
My capacity for amazement does not rest with my mom and dad's witticisms, I mean that in a good way. There is always something new from them that surprises me and this time was no exception. It turns out that my dad was given a baby chick at work and he took it to my mom. In my house there is no land space to have animals, that is the reason why we only have a cat, however, that chick brought beautiful memories to my mom related to her childhood and although it seems impossible because she has said thousands of times that she doesn't want animals at home due to lack of space, she got attached to the chick and this is her new pet.
Unconventional in my mom's case and very amazing to me. Because of the cat, my mom has the chick in a box that she keeps in her room at night 😳 believe me this would not have been done by my mom a couple of years ago, however, this time she did it and it blew my mind. I still can't believe my mom has a pet that she keeps in her room at night to protect it, it really is absolutely new this tolerance she has shown, despite my amazement I have seen more closely how my mom has connected more with the beautiful memories of her childhood thanks to this chick.
>Mi capacidad de asombro no descansa con las ocurrencias de mi mamá y mi papá, lo digo en el buen sentido. Siempre hay algo nuevo de parte de ellos que me sorprende y está vez no fue la excepción. Resulta que a mi papá le regalaron un pollito en el trabajo y se lo llevó a mi mamá. En mi casa no hay espacios de tierra para tener animales, esa es la razón por la que tenemos solamente un gato, sin embargo, ese pollito le trajo hermosos recuerdos a mi mamá relacionados con su infancia y aunque parezca imposible porque ella ha dicho miles de veces que no quiere animales en casa por falta de espacio, se encariño con el pollito y este es su nueva mascota.
>Nada convencional en el caso de mi mamá y muy asombroso para mí. Debido al gato, mi mamá tiene al pollito en una caja que por las noches guarda en su cuarto 😳 créanme que esto no lo hubiera hecho mi mamá hace un par de años, no obstante, en esta oportunidad lo hizo ye dejó atónita. Todavía no puedo creer que mi mamá tenga una mascota que guarda en su cuarto por las noches para protegerlo, realmente es absolutamente nuevo está tolerancia que ha mostrado, pese a mi asombro he visto más de cerca cómo mi mamá se ha conectado más con los bonitos recuerdos de su infancia gracias a este pollito.
When my mother was a child, she lived in a house with a large backyard where she had chickens, pigeons, ducks and a dog. She tells of the diversity of breeds of chickens she had and with great emotion she expresses how she felt when these birds hatched their young. Being the youngest of her siblings with a significant age difference with the sister who followed her, she spent a very lonely childhood and was distracted by her animals. She recounts that she was always very aware of her chickens and describes each one as if she were seeing them today.
With this scenario as context, I understand why she is so fond of this new addition to the family.
>Cuando mi mamá era niña, vivía en una casa que tenía un patio amplio y allí tenía gallinas, palomas, patos y un perro. Ella cuenta la diversidad de razas de las gallinas que tenía y con mucha emoción expresa cómo se sentía cuando estás aves sacaban crias. Por ser la más pequeña de sus hermanos con una diferencia de edad significativa con la hermana que le seguía pasó una infancia muy solitaria y se distraía con sus animales. Ella cuenta que siempre estaba muy pendiente de sus gallinas y describe a cada una como si las estuviera viendo en la actualidad.
>Teniendo este escenario como contexto, entiendo el porqué le tiene tanto cariño a este nuevo integrante de la familia.
Today when I got home I see the chick in its box on a kitchen counter and the cat downstairs waiting for any carelessness to attack it but my mom was calm because she felt she was taking care of the chick. The cat is called Sony and has been with us for more than ten years, this cat belongs to my mom and there is a great connection between them but now there is a new member that I presume will not last long at home because Sony although he is already a little old is very agile.
I really don't know what my mom is going to do with this chick, I understand that she may be very eager to have it but the truth is that she is in danger.
>Hoy cuando llegué a casa veo al pollito en su caja en un mesón de la cocina y al gato abajo esperando cualquier descuido para atacarlo pero mi mamá estaba tranquila porque sentía que estaba cuidando al pollito. El gato se llama Sony y tiene más de diez años con nosotros, este gato es de mi mamá y hay una gran conexión entre ellos pero ahora hay un nuevo integrante que presumo que no durará mucho en casa porque Sony aunque ya está algo viejito es muy ágil.
>En realidad no se que va a hacer mi mamá con ese pollito, yo entiendo que puede tener muchas ganas de tenerlo pero la verdad es que corre peligro.
As she decides what she is going to do, I really enjoy listening to her childhood anecdotes and support her. The truth is that the chick is very cute and has been a nice topic of conversation because of all the memories it has brought into my mom's life. My dad is also fond of the chick and well I'm all for whatever brings happiness to them, as long as they don't bring it into my room. Although I like animals, I don't accept them in my room and my mom has never done it before, this is the first time. I hope I can find a suitable place for the chick because it is going to grow and as I mentioned before, we don't have space.
>Mientras que decide lo que va a hacer, disfruto mucho al escuchar sus anécdotas de la infancia y la apoyo. La verdad es que el pollito es muy tierno y ha sido un bonito tema de conversación por todos los recuerdos que ha traído a la vida de mi mamá. Mi papá también está encariñado con el pollito y bueno yo me uno a lo que les reporte felicidad a ellos, siempre y cuando no lo traigan a mi habitación. Aunque me gustan los animales, no los acepto en mi habitación y mi mamá jamás lo ha hecho, está es la primera vez. Espero que pueda encontrarle un lugar adecuado al pollito porque este va a crecer y como les mencioné anteriormente, no tenemos espacio.
For now we have it and enjoy the joy of my mom. We will see what happens as the days go by. The beauty of this whole story is the fond memories we enjoy as a family listening to my mom's experiences.
