Birds on a wire
Don't you always see birds perched on wires.
Those same wires that have warning signs telling people to stay clear.
Hmmmm...
What's the difference between a bird and a human making high voltage wires deadly to us, but not birds?
Well it's all got to do with electric current which only wants to flow when there’s a path for it to go from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. A human climbing the pole and touching the wire supplies that path to ground. Whereas a bird landing on the wire does not, as it flies to land on the wire. If the bird shimied up the pole with it's claws. It would be toast!
When both of a bird’s feet touch the same wire, they’re at the same electrical potential, so no current flows through its body.
That's Ablaze's physics lesson for today.
Now enjoy the photos of the birds on the wire and a nice colourful early morning sky.

Thanks as always for stopping by everyone.
