As Nelson would say, Haw Haw!!!

Poor auld United.

You'd think things couldn't get any worse after finishing fifteenth last season, then they go and get played off the park by Grimsby Town from ahem Division 2 or the fourth tier of English football.

It wasn't like they played kids either. That's a strong line up.

They thought they'd just turn up and turn them over without much effort. Well. They thought wrong, as Grimsby got off to a flyer, scoring a really well taken opener.

Vernam took the ball down brilliantly with one touch and finished first time into the corner.

The second goal can only be called a Shambles, with United keeper Onana making a terrible effort at punching the ball away. This post on X made me laugh uncontrollably 🤣🤣🤣
