The world is moving towards safer energy, right? Or at least that is the sentiment around the world. This initiative was very strong until last year. But now things have changed since the world has again shifted towards fossil fuel. Although there aren't geopolitical complications to this statement. But I am not supposed to go deep into that particular argument. So I'm just going to skip it. And would like to talk about the real thing here. It is about China. And no, I promise you that I won't be getting into any geopolitical stuff. But I solely want to stress that China is leading by a heavy margin, the race towards alternative energy.

So anyone who studied even a little bit of the current state of infrastructures in different countries in regard to alternative energy might know about the three gorges dam. Well that dam has already caused a noticeable difference in the Earth's rotation. The average day is maybe 0.06 millisecond longer because of that dam. But that is not even the scary part. The most fascinating part is that from the mountains of Himalayas, there are rivers flowing downstream all the way through India and Bangladesh. So these rivers come through a massive downscale of elevation. And most of it happens inside China and if we pinpoint it then it would be Tibet. So if we pull off the numbers then there is about 6,000 to 7,000 meters of downwards elevation of those river Waters. China wants to build a new dam on that river. And how much will the capacity be of that new dam? It would be roughly three times in generation capacity of the Three gorges dam from earlier. So if the Three gorges dam can make the world spin slower by 0.06 millisecond, then I would just leave you to imagine how much of a rumble this new one can cause. Also, they're all like many geopolitical consequences that are intertwined with this new infrastructural project. You can look it up on the internet if you're into that. With the construction of it, China will have surpassed almost everyone by a long margin towards carbon neutrality.
The tectonic plates of Eurasia and India collided many years ago. and are still colliding beneath the Himalayas. And this is causing the land to still gain more elevation every year. So the tectonic rumblings aren't over yet. So as China wants to build the dam on those cracks, it needs some serious calculation to offset those ongoing changes in elevation.
