I like to sometimes watch short, funny, old Romanian clips. I didn’t live through those times, and even if I had been there “in the trenches,” I’d probably still be hustling for more comfort, for a cozy life.
As much as we preach about living rugged and the benefits of not chasing comfort—facing harsh times to make us stronger—we’re addicted to the modern world. It’s pretty damn obvious that machines are only making our lives comfier.
I read some news yesterday about a Porsche boss/stakeholder digging a tunnel through a mountain just to get home faster. Not too long ago (less than a hundred years), many of the planet’s inhabitants were still using carriages for travel.
My great-grandmother did that extensively, covering long distances. But this so-called modern, comfy world, made possible by machines and software, comes at a cost…We use AI so often these days, getting valuable info and help in some cases, but we’ve only scratched the surface with AI. Problem is, AI, like social media, was designed to serve the powers that be as much as it serves us.
For example, a new report dropped a few days ago claiming OpenAI is scanning conversations with ChatGPT and reporting them to the police. I bet it’s not all black and white on this topic, but there’s gotta be some truth to it.
To some extent, tech seems more geared toward serving the elites and their long-established New World Order plan than protecting our freedoms and liberties.
An “Israeli-grade” AI pre-crime bot launches next week, scraping the internet 24/7 for “specific threat language,” while The BBC is now creating fake social media accounts to “counter disinformation.” Can you grasp the direction we’re heading in?!
This clown world never ceases to amaze me, and I ain’t even done with all the news that’s come out lately, making us look worse than our ancestors, somehow…Israel just bombed Qatar, and America’s ready to bomb Venezuela on the pretext that Uncle Sam is cracking down on drug dealers smuggling cocaine and whatever into the US. Well, if it wasn’t illegal, there wouldn’t be gangs selling it.
Weed’s legal in so many countries, and most people there still live relatively normal lives. This whole thing reminds me of the alcohol ban in the US in the early 1900s.The world’s only getting worse, but unlike the early 1990s, access to information is instant now, and we’ve got memes. A printed dollar’s worth no more than a piece of paper scribbled on by a kid.
It only has value because we give it value. That simple. Have a great day and catch y’all on the next one.
Thanks for your attention, Adrian
