Heute waren wir relativ lange im Meer schwimmen – also für meine Verhältnisse lange. Später sind wir dann in eine Nachbarstadt gefahren und haben uns da ein Grundstück angeschaut. Das Gute, wenn man eine Drohne dabei hat: Man kann sich alles direkt nochmal schön von oben ansehen.
Danach waren wir noch in Limenaria spazieren – mittlerweile ist das echt so eine Art Stammspot für uns. Da gibt’s eine Pizzeria, bei der wir eigentlich jedes Mal einkehren, wenn wir auf Thassos sind. Ich hatte eine Carbonara-Pizza – klingt wild, ist es auch – aber schmeckt richtig gut.
Zum Nachtisch gab’s dann noch Lokomades – süßes Gebäck, komplett getränkt in Flüssigzucker. Ich hatte zwischendurch wirklich das Gefühl, ich kriege instant Diabetes.
Was gerade ein bisschen nervt: Auf der Insel gibt’s aktuell ständig Stromausfälle – vor allem nachts. Wahrscheinlich ist die Infrastruktur einfach nicht auf den Touri-Andrang ausgelegt. Das führt dann dazu, dass die Kartenzahlung ausfällt und man nur noch bar zahlen kann – was einige natürlich nicht so feierlich finden. Bargeld ist halt doch noch King hier.
Parkplatztechnisch heute übrigens alles gut: Wir haben mittlerweile neben Blumenkorb und Stuhl auch noch eine Schubkarre rausgestellt – scheint zu funktionieren.
Morgen sind wir auf einer lokalen Veranstaltung. Dafür fahren wir extra ins älteste Dorf der Insel. Vielleicht gelingt mir da ja das eine oder andere coole Foto. Mehr dazu dann morgen.

Today we spent quite a bit of time swimming in the sea – well, long for my standards. Later we drove to a nearby town to check out a plot of land. One great thing about always having a drone on hand: you can get a full aerial view of everything you're looking at.
After that we went for a walk in Limenaria – it’s become a bit of a go-to spot for us. There’s a pizza place we always stop at when we're on Thassos. I had a carbonara pizza – sounds wild (and it is), but honestly, it's delicious.
Then we had Loukoumades for dessert – sweet dough balls soaked in syrup. No joke, I felt like I developed diabetes on the spot.
Something a bit annoying right now: the island is having frequent power outages, especially at night. Probably just overwhelmed by the summer tourism. And when the power's out, card payments stop working – so it’s cash only, which annoys some people. Turns out cash is still king here.
On the parking front: we’ve upped our game – alongside the flowerpot and chair, we’ve now placed a wheelbarrow. Worked like a charm.
Tomorrow we're heading to a local event in the island’s oldest village. Hopefully I’ll manage to get some nice shots. More on that tomorrow.
**Wie sieht es mit den Kalorien aus?**
Kalorienmäßig war heute... naja. Carbonara-Pizza und Lokomades – also Zucker pur. Die paar Schwimmzüge und Schritte machen das auch nicht mehr wett. Aber hey, ist Urlaub – alles im Rahmen.

Calorie-wise, let’s just say… not my best day. Carbonara pizza and Loukoumades – pure sugar overload. The swimming and walking didn’t cancel that out, but hey – it’s vacation. All good.
