This update represents a compilation of the recent news, updates and projections about our Actifit project, including top actifitters for the preceding voting cycle, as well as updates on our account and delegations !
Testing Steem API Changes
Few days back, Steemit Inc announced some changes being implemented onto api.steemit.com post here, with the underlying purpose of decreasing the cost of running Steem nodes via moving over some API calls to Hivemind, in anticipation to the final removal of both tags and follows plugins from full nodes.
As a dapp actively using the blockchain, but also as a witness, and as the changes are planned to come into effect as soon as 7th of December, we launched some thorough tests into our current bots and website, to check the outcome of making this move. For this purpose, we made the tests via connecting to the dev node put in place by Steemit team.
Upon those tests, while most of the current processes and Steem BC calls were running perfectly, yet we found a particular set of calls affected by this change, essentially the getDiscussions subset of API calls, and in particular getDiscussionsByCreated, which returned a server error while trying it out.
We were able to confirm that this was affecting both SteemJS and dsteem (steem.api.getDiscussionsByCreated(query, async function (err, result)) and dsteem's (client.database.getDiscussions('created', query)) and noticed that a somewhat similar issue was reported by @penguinpablo After contacting @roadscape, he pointed out to testing out a variation of the call, whereby the additional start_author and start_permlink are to be passed as blank. This practically solved the issue, and he then proceeded to making those params as optional again, as they are used by a multitude of dapps all over.
We believe via our testing that this planned transition will occur smoothly as of the upcoming December 7th, and are delighted with the effort Steemit Inc and the community are putting into improving the Steem BC altogether.
New Charity "Tazewell ARC" Added
Yesterday we were contacted by @rhondak, who reached out to enlist her wonderful charity "Tazewell ARC" (@tarc) into our Actifit charities to which actifitters can donate their activity earned AFIT tokens.
We were happy to see such great work being done on the Steem blockchain, whereby the charity aims to rescue animals in Central Appalachia. We thank @rhondak and everyone behind this charity for the lovely work they're doing!
TARC has been officially added into the list of charities supported by Actifit, so if you're looking to donate your AFIT token earnings to a charity, keep TARC in your mind.
We already have several other charities listed on Actifit, so make sure to give them some support every now and then!
Rewarding RunningProject Winners
Another round of the Runner of the Week project led by RunningProject team has been concluded! (official post here). As sponsors of this contest, and as the team announced the winners, we rewarded the winners with Actifit account upvotes, as well as AFIT tokens, as follows:

A kind reminder to all actifitters: some versions of esteem app still cause issues when used to edit your reports, via removing essential info Actifit uses to identify proper reports. This prevents related reports from receiving rewards. Until this issue is officially fixed via the esteem team, we advise that you use other Steem interfaces for editing, including our own actifit.io, steemit, busy or others.
Doubled UP Rewarded Actifitter!
Today we had another round of the Random Double Up Reward, and the winner is @brsim. Congrats! @brsim voting ranking was 211. Randomly chosen by the script, this doubled up the token reward to 67 AFIT tokens, and the Actifit STEEM upvote to 5.68%.

The amount of delegated SP has a large influence over not only the daily/weekly delegation reward, but also on the amount of rewards the actifitter receives on daily reports, as it constitutes a key element in User Rank.
Which is why being an Actifit delegator now has more influence on your rewards, coupled with number of AFIT tokens and other factors highlighted before.
Add to that, and a key important item that will benefit Actifit by receiving more delegation, is the ability to claim and create more user accounts. At the moment, Actifit is claiming around 10 account spots per day. Although this is a good start, yet the number is still small compared to the potential that Actifit has to bring in masses. Simply another reason to delegate to Actifit!
Delegators share a max cap of 100K AFIT tokens according to their delegation amount, and also earn a 5% beneficiary reward from actifit posts' beneficiary earnings.
Since many ask, here we describe again an easy way to calculate your AFIT tokens for a full day of delegations: (Your Delegated SP) * 100,000 AFIT MAX / (Actifit Account Delegated SP - without account own SP and any delegators who opted out). So for instance if you had delegated 100 SP, your daily earnings would be around: 100 * 100,000 / 223,000 = 44.84 AFITs

When you are looking to increase your delegation, you need to use the new total amount as the delegation amount, and not only the increased amount. Otherwise only the new amount will be used, and the remaining amount will be undelegated.
