My Actifit Report Card: October 12 2019

@actifraenk · 2019-10-12 18:54 · ['actifit']

It's Saturday.

Again, not a #caturday for me. But maybe a #caterpillarday? More on that later.

It was also "Community Day" in Pokemon Go and it was super sunny, too. So from 11am until 2pm this pokemon event was going on. During the time a special pokemon called Trapinch would spawn much more frequently and playing in the event brought a bunch of additional bonuses, too.

It's incredible to see just how many people come out to play the game under these circumstances. The park was packed with people and I'd estimate 70-80% had come to play Pokemon Go.

Funny how everyone walks around staring at their phones chasing virtual creatures. Of course Hazel and myself were in on the fun. Hunting Trapinch and XP bonuses through the local park.

We were quite successful, too. Catching several shinies and using the opportunity to raid a legendary pokemon, too. That's usually close to impossible because it needs a lot of players joining in the same location... not an issue during community day, though!

6 shiny Trapinch were caught. You can see one already evolved into a Vibrava there.

And the raid against a legendary Giratina.

In the midst of all the virtual critters we stumbled across a little real world monster, too. A fluffy pinkish caterpillar crossed the path. I didn't want to touch him, some of the hairy ones can be quite irritating to the skin, so I carried him out of harm's way on a little fallen leaf.

As the afternoon came, the event ended and the sunshine left. Hazel and I went up onto the top floor of a big parking garage to see the horizon behind the city. It's always fun to look at the world from high up.

Thanks for your time!
