Sunday.
The first weekend of the new year 2022 is coming to an end. It's been sunny and exceptionally mild for the season.
Today I decided to finally finish the #googlyeyes mission that started with my ongoing actifitivity reporting streak a couple of weeks ago. I noticed a peculiar fence pole, an old wooden railroad tie, and named him Paul-Luther. Unfortunately I didn't have any eyes for him on me that day.
On my first attempt to help him see I brought some eyes without adhesive, and to be honest, they were a size too small also. But that day, while temporarily placing the eyes, I noticed Paul wasn't alone and named his gatekeeping brother Robert-Lucas.
The next time I brought some proper adhesive to finally give Paul-Luther a permanent set of eyes, but I underestimated the size I needed for Robert's face.
Phew... it's been a while in the making now.
Robert-Lucas finally has his own set of well attached #googlyeyes, too.
Isn't he adorable?!
Finally the derailed gatekeeping brothers under lockdown in Poleland are both completed.
But I don't think my mission is. The lighting conditions were less than ideal and the backlit scenery forces my smartphone into stupid HDR madness. I might just have to come back here for better light, with a proper camera, and do a dedicated post for these #googlyeyes guys... ?!?
The seasons might need to change for that first, but I'm unfortunately convinced their namesake might still be a relevant topic by then.
After placing the final set of eyes I met up with my buddy @isnogud and we went for a lengthy New Year's hike through the forest. We had a good talk and I didn't take anymore pics. So for now I leave you with a final close-up portrait of Robert's adorably derpy face.
Thanks for your time!
