Water lilies 😍

A few years ago, I became interested in decorating my home. Fortunately, my grandmother, who was the owner and mistress at the time, allowed me to do so. In addition to painting the walls to my liking, the decorations included some paintings. I remember buying them in a famous department store in the capital, where they sell, or sold at the time, many printed and framed images of famous paintings and some miniatures with beautiful drawings. Sometimes I used them as picture frames, and other times the drawings were so beautiful that I used them as they were, among them one of the famous water lily paintings by Claude Monet, who was a key figure in Impressionism and the author of famous works such as the Water Lilies series. This is not a single painting depicting these plants, but rather a series of around 250 oil paintings depicting his flower garden in Giverny (a town in France).  [Pexels](https://www.pexels.com/es-es/foto/mujer-pintura-pintando-cuadro-9329052/) Now, the copy I had of one of these paintings is something I loved while I had it, and in fact, every time I think about or remember this painting, my desire and thought is to have a place where I can have these aquatic plants that I find so beautiful. I must confess that I know almost nothing about aquatic plants. Perhaps water lilies need a special climate to survive, but I can't deny that I would love to be able to make an artificial pond, not too big, add some decorative elements such as rockroses, where the water could circulate like a fountain, falling back into the pond, and have these plants there. I know that for me, being able to carry out a project like this would be a dream come true. In fact, I imagine myself sitting right next to it, enjoying the view and watching some cats, including my own, drinking clean, fresh water from this place. I don't know if it's because of the different images in these pictures, but the light and peace that each one conveys is magical. The colors are so beautiful that I would simply love to have this type of plant or some other flowering plant that reproduces and lives in water, although I can't deny that pink or pastel-colored flowers are my obsession, as I love these shades and also fuchsia-colored flowers.  [Pexels](https://www.pexels.com/es-es/foto/agua-plantas-floracion-flor-13077729/) It is impressive to me to know that this painter dedicated years of his life to painting these well-known oil paintings that are called or recognized as the water lily series, which are considered one of the great masterpieces of 20th-century art for a reason. My love for these paintings led me to research these aquatic plants a little more. They come in different sizes, some small and others huge, and they all have their charm, but in my case, a few small ones in a small fountain with the characteristics I described would be a dream come true. Hace unos cuantos años despertó el interés de decorar mi hogar, afortunadamente mi abuela que era la dueña y señora en ese momento me lo permitió, entre las decoraciones además de pintar las paredes a mi gusto, estuvieron incluidos algunos cuadros, recuerdo que los adquirí en una famosa tienda departamental de la capital allí venden o vendían en aquel momento, muchas imágenes impresas y enmarcadas de cuadros famosos y algunas miniaturas con lindos dibujos. Algunas veces las usaba como porta retratos y otras eran tan hermosos sus dibujos que los usaba tal como venían, entre ellos uno de los famosos cuadros de nenúfares de Claude Monet, quien fuera una figura clave del Impresionismo, autor de obras famosas, como la serie de los Nenúfares, ya que, no se trata un solo cuadro en el que se representó a estas plantas, hablamos de una serie de alrededor de 250 óleos que representaron su jardín de flores en Giverny (localidad francesa). Ahora bien, la copia que tuve de uno de estos cuadros es algo que ame mientras lo tuve y de hecho, cada vez que pienso o recuerdo esta pintura, mi deseo y pensamiento es el de tener algún sitio en que poder tener estas plantas acuáticas que me parecen bellísimas. Debo confesar que no sé casi nada de plantas acuáticas, tal vez los nenúfares necesiten algún tipo de clima en especial para poder sobrevivir, pero no niego que me encantaría poder hacer algún pozo artificial, no muy grande agregar algunos elementos decorativos como jaras en las que tal vez el agua pueda circular haciendo como una fuente que termine cayendo de nuevo al pozo y tener allí estas plantas. Este tipo de lugares me parecen pacíficos e inspiradores. Sé que para mí el poder realizar un proyecto como esté sería algo soñado, de hecho me imagino sentada justo al lado, disfrutando de la vista y viendo a algunos gatos, incluidos los míos, tomando agua limpia y fresca de este lugar. No sé, si debe a las diferentes imágenes de estos cuadros, pero la luz y la paz que tramite cada uno es mágica, los colores son tan hermosos que simplemente me encantaría tener este tipo de plantas o alguna otra que de flores, pero que se reproduzca y haga su vida en el agua aunque no puedo negar que las flores rosadas o de tono pasteles es mi delirio, ya que amo estos tonos y también las flores en colores fucsia. Es impresionante para mí el saber que este pintor dedicó años de su vida a pintar estos conocidos oleos que son llamados o reconocidos como el ciclo de nenúfares, que por algo son considerados una de las grandes obras maestras del arte del siglo XX. Mi amor por estas pinturas me llevo a investigar un poco más de estas plantas acuáticas y las hay de diversos tamaños hay unas pequeñas y otras enormes, todas tienen su encanto, pero en mi caso con unas cuantas pequeñas en una pequeña fuente con las características que di sería un sueño hecho realidad.
