A 🐦 bird at hand is better than ten thousand in the bush. This is a popular saying that makes a lot of sense. But for me in this case I think of it differently and that is because of the situation of things right now in my country.
People may say that this is crazy. But I don't think it is. Maybe someone will say that we better continue to suffer here in this country than moving completely to another planet that I know nothing about and live there. With the way we reason we better stay here. But I object that saying in this situation. I am a Nigerian and I believe so much in my country because it is one of the best place to be on earth going by all the blessings God has given to us in this great country. But with the kind of leadership we have experienced in the past years and even up till now, I think that I better take the chances of moving out and making Discovery for myself. Is not bad to experience a new thing and I think that I am willing to experience it and face whatsoever that comes with it.
Of course I don't think that there will be a place as bad as where you have bad and negative people all around you from the highest in command to the least, leaving only a few who can do nothing to change what is happening to suffer the consequences. Do you know that in Nigeria before you could get admission you either have money or know someone that knows someone. If you don't have any of these, then just relax and keep writing your JAMB exams everyone. Only a few get admission by merit in this country and it was never meant to be so. We are all Nigerian, but some people enjoy while others are to continue to suffer.
WHY MOVE OUT? I have always told myself and everyone who cares to listen that any day that I get the opportunity to travel out of this country, I may never come back completely, but may begin to make a way for my family to relocate abroad. Why do I say so? Is not all about money or just because I see people travelling outside. No. But I need to be with my family in a place that feels safe. I want to be able to move around freely with been afraid of been kidnapped by someone I don't know. I want to be able to sleep with my two eyes closed and in the morning still wake up from the same bed. Hahaha 😂. It has reached to the level that one may sleep in one city in Nigeria and wake up in another city. Is not funny. Sometimes when I think about it, it makes me fear for my life. People are no longer safe here. Just two weeks ago someone was kidnapped in Akwanga and 25 million was paid for his release. Can you imagine that? Some of these business men and women are into a lot of debt because they go to bank to get loan for their business and now they can't move around freely just because they control 5 or 6 million in their business. Gone are those days when people buy new cars for Christmas. If you try it now and travel home with the car, you may end up not seeing yourself again. This is the level of wickedness going on in this country and yet, you tell me not to move to another planet if I have the chance. My dear I will go out and try a new place. At least for change of environment and trying something new.
WILLING TO UPROOT MY LIFE HERE.
This is exactly what I will do if I get the chance. I will definitely move my family and everyone who cares to follow to another planet to live there. At least to have a proper burial when one dies. Alot of Nigerians die today in the bush and we don't even get to see their dead bodies to bury them. I will move out without looking back. So sorry if this offends you, but that is how I feel about this country right now.
