My country is a very well known country for obvious reasons. I don't really think that one need to say much about Nigeria because is a popular country. Though the country has really gone through alot lately and is still going through alot, but God have been so faithful to us.
Some years back anyone from Nigeria will be very proud of himself anywhere in the whole world because Nigeria actually made a very good name for itself back then. But today, if you say that you are a Nigerian outside of this country people will begin to suspect you because we have this bad stigma now that our people outside of Nigerian are very ashamed to admit that they come from Nigeria.
Do well to put your seat belt because we are going on a very long journey. Don't be scared I won't talk to much because the story of Nigeria is all over the place and I don't really need to stress anything before you will understand. Let's go right into the topic for the day. MY DEAR COUNTRY.
I use to love Nigeria alot, but now I don't want to use the opposite of love for what I feel about Nigeria because it will not sound good for the 👂 ears. Let me start with one good thing I know about my country.
ONE GOOD THING ABOUT MY DEAR COUNTRY NIGERIA THAT THE WORLD KNOWS.
Nigeria is a very big country when it comes to size and population. Am just trying to overlook other things because we have so many good things about Nigeria that is obvious if we want to be frank.
Take example of Ghana. Ghana is a small country and we have just two states in Nigeria that when we put them together we can get the size of Ghana as a whole. We also have other African countries that can not be compared to Nigeria when it comes to size. Sometimes when I travel from one state to another and see how big those states are I really appreciate God for how great Nigeria is and how bless we are with different mineral resources. When you look around you will notice that almost all the states in Nigeria have one resources or the other that God has given them to use and make life better for them.
ONE BAD THING ABOUT MY DEAR COUNTRY NIGERIA THAT IS VERY CLEAR TO EVERYONE.
Corruption: This is the only sickness that has refused to leave is in this country. No matter how people cry everyday in social media because of how bad we have been affected by corruption, no one cares. People have become too use to it and they are not ready to let go. Even the very good ones we know before have decided to join the train. They use the word that says - if you can't beat them, join them. Few years back I heard someone saying that this corruption can not stop now until he has eating his own share of the national cake.
Every other sickness in the whole world can be cured except corruption. Anyone that enjoys it too much will not like to stop for any reason because of the benefits derived from it.
ARE THE BASED ON FACT?
This is actually the situation of Nigeria. Everyone that lives in the world and even the world beyond knows about this. Nigeria is actually popular today because of our corrupt lives.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS ON THE PEOPLE?
Nigeria has been able to produce more kidnappers, armed rubbers yahoo boys and girls. The leadership has been able to imprisoned the minds of the citizens, making them to believe that you can't make it here unless you travel outside this country. Most of our leaders go ahead and build their investments outside of this country and make sure that they kill every aspect of the society here. No good road. No good hospitals. No light, no water. No kerosene and lots more.
Every average Nigeria is always hungry, looking for what to do to survive or looking for what to steal to survive.
Hmmm! We are trying so hard to survive all of these. The Lord help us🙏
