One thing that I was told very early on, is that the buses are always on time 🚌 .. This is awesome 😱 .. especially if you are from Germany, a country where buses and trains are on delay by 5 to 10 minutes minimum, if not only far longer up to 1h 🤣 .. With the bus I take only 20 minutes from my door into the office and my wife only 25 Minutes into the nearest city, for visiting the Doctor, Shopping, or else 👍
Yesterday after work, I drove home with my wife, who visited the Doctor with the children at the same time. As the bus was cancelled, we took the train to our home village .. In this post I will explain, why we never do this again, and rather wait an hour for the next bus 😒

The train took only 5 minutes and we liked it, but when we arrived we encountered first hindrance. To get from the platform to the outside, we had to take 2 stairways. Luckily I finished my work simultaneously, so that I was able to carry the Stroller down and up for her. As you can see, the station is nearly 50 years old, butt it is still a big hindrance for women with Strollers 🤔
But that was not all, the worst part a still to come ! When we walked towards the city we saw this stairway here. It's a complete nightmare for Strollers 😱 .. Maybe my wife could have managed the first stairs on her own somehow, but these multiple floor stairway is simply to much to handle ! .. We learned from this experience and luckily I was with her this time. In the future she will only use the Bus and if necessary will wait an hour for the next one too arrive. She on her own is not able to take this way that easily ☹️
The alone was not the only problem. The individual stairs themselves were already damaged and had to be taken with care. In addition, the whole way was located directly next to the railroad track itself, which was quite risky, as she would not have taken this wait alone with the B as by and the stroller, but also with our older son, which tends to run along the way relatively carefully.
I think it's quite good that we took the train at least once, as we now know that we're should avoid it the next she comes back from the city 😁 .. For me it's a different topic.
Actually, when I was still younger, this would not have bothered me at all, but now with a family, I tend to see things from many new and different angles and I see risk and hindrances everywhere 👀 .. Becoming a father changes the view on the world in many aspects and safety and usability gains far more importance 🤔 .. In assume that I am not the only one that experienced this change of view and I even think about, if I should mention this to the Village Office. This is something I never even thought about anytime before in my life 😁
