Nothing can be compared to having good and peaceful people as your neighbours. Some neighbors can either be a blessing or a torn in the flesh. Many do not really know the true worth of having good neighbors and the advantages that comes with it. Living with good and peaceful neighbours keep one's mind at rest, not the ones that frustrate life out of their fellow neighbours.
I have lived with both good and bad neighbors and I can tell you for sure that the two are different. Being an introvert, I love being alone in my space, I hate disturbance and I'm not the type that intrude into people apartment just anyhow. I love minding my business so as to stay away from unforseen trouble. Most times I might stay in my apartment for weeks and none of my neighbors will noticed. Most times they do think I travelled. Thats how quiet i could be.
I have had divers experience with neighbours. I could remember some years back, I once lived in an apartment which can be compare to hell. The neighbours i lived with were so frustrating that I never wish anyone to live with such kinds of neighbours. You can't imagine noises and rain of curses from fight and disagreement waking you up almost everyday. It was as if devil himself resides in that apartment. It was indeed a hot tension zone
The house was a storey building with numerous rooms with two bathrooms and toilet and a kitchen. We do share bathroom and toilet. Now you can have an idea of where I was living then. There is always a fight on who to wash the toilet and bathroom, who to sweep the compound and lots more.
The worst part is that I hardly sleep at night. After having a long day at work, instead of me having a peaceful night rest, It is the noise from my neighbors room that do wake me by 12am till dawn. There was a time she was hitting her door and shouting fire at midnight. It was the noise from her room that woke me up. I hurriedly stand up from my bed and ran out of my room when i heard her shouting fire. Just as i stepped out of my room, i met other neighbors outside too. We all were surprised when she stepped out of her room and told us that she was praying. Can you imagine that? Instead of her apologizing for disturbing other neighbours, She took up a fight with us and started raining curses on everyone for interrupting her during her prayer session. Just for the sake of my mental health and well-being, I couldn't wait for my rent to get due before getting another apartment.
This new apartment I moved to was a peaceful one and no unnecessary drama from neighbors. I had all my space to myself without any disturbance from neighbours. Although I don't really know much about my neighbour except that we live together, but yet I can still trust them abit compare to my former apartment. My neighbours are nice people, although I'm not the kind of person who loves socializing with people.The most I do most times is to greet them nothing more.
Even though they are nice people, I don't trust my neighbours enough to the stage of allowing them to take care of my kids or home in case of emergencies. I would rather prefer a friend or a family member to handle that for me.
If it's left to me, I think I prefer things to be this way.Everyone should mind their business, which I think this is the best way to live as neighbours. I believe this will enhance peace and prevent any form of unforseen disagreement with any of my neighbours.
