H-FRIDGE 300 Fridge Freezer

I finally got a new fridge! I got fed up with moving frozen bottles of water back and forth from the freezer to the fridge daily to keep the fridge section cool through winter. My aged fridge-freezer, a solidly made one at that, had stopped cooling in the fridge section. The freezer part still works fine though. After a little research, I arrived at two possible diagnoses. 1, there is a problem with the evaporation process and ice is forming inside the machine and blocking the cooling fan from operating properly. 2, there's a problem with the refrigerant. Option 1 is fixable by me, with a little patience, but option two would require a trained and licensed professional. That would cost the same as buying a new fridge, or even more. I attempted option 1, of course, several times, to no avail. I did a full defrost cycle, cleaned out the drain, etc etc etc. Nothing. I decided to bite the bullet and buy a new one. I found a nice deal on Amazon for less than the lowest quote I got from researching cost of fixing the old one online. To be fair, this new appliance will probably not last as long as the old one, since they're not built like that anymore. However, at least, the brand name *"Hoover"* should still stand for something right? I should hope so. The freezer portion is larger than my old one, but the fridge portion is smaller.
