Well the Phillies won 1-0 yesterday thanks to a singular run in the very first inning, and of course excellent pitching. Alec Bohm recorded an RBI on a ground out in the first, and Walker Buehler provided a quality start of five scoreless innings, probably the best he's looked in his short time as a Phillie! But yes the series victory was nice to see after a short three game losing streak recently.

Tonight Aaron Nola gets his last start of 2025. It's been a very rough season for Nola, it would be nice to see him end the year with his fifth win. That would be a small milestone to be proud of in a challenging year.

It's also interesting that the Phillies end their year against the team that gave them Harrison Bader and Jhoan Durán, the Minnesota Twins. Trades don't always amount to much, But Bader and Durán have definitely breathed a ton of new life into this team.

Only three games left. If the Brewers lose out and the Phillies win out, the Phillies COULD get the top seed in the National League and the MLB overall. That seems unlikely but ya never know.

That being said it's nice the Phillies get to stay warm and play some relaxed games at home before Red October begins. It's a bittersweet, but mostly sweet feeling. Season ending, hopefully more exciting times around the corner, but ultimately still ending soon no matter what.

It's been an excellent, really fun season. A sweep would be cool too. 97 wins is a strong number.
