On December 20th, 2018 Quake Champions will be offering a Battle Pass similar to those seen in Fortnite, Rocket League and Black Ops 4 as recent examples.

Let's talk a bit about what we are to expect before getting into the livestream link

All of the Legendary Shader progression will be completed automatically
(bummer to those who turned on the grind to get through it... but awesome for the ones I did not finish)
All favor currency will be turned into backpacks, all shard currency will be turned into chests.
most importantly reliquaries will no longer ever duplicate a legendary (or any to my understanding) item which you already own
Two tiers of battle passes will be available to players on the 20th, a Free progression pass, and a paid progression pass. As the prior examples demonstrate that owning the paid pass allows you to gain progression rewards from both. This is also true here.
