Hello Fellow Splinterlands Addict! Hope you are doing well. My today's article is about a very interesting battle featuring Blackmoor Wild Elf from the Earth splinter and Elf bloodline showcasing why this card can be considered to be a hidden gem in the modern format in particular.
ABOUT THE CARD:
Let's take a loot at the card first along with it's abilities to get an idea.
|Card|Stats & Abilities|Lore|

|The wild elves of Blackmoor Basin are a reclusive and insular lot, preferring the company of fey and beasts over that of the more “civilized” splinters. But with the legions of Chaos encroaching on their borders and the dragons of Mount Redwyrm circling above, isolationism may no longer be an option.|

THE HIGHLIGHTS : * Round 1:
In the first round, we were having trouble getting past the opponent tank Ulundin Overseer while the Halfling Refugee got the final strike on my tank Anyu Huntswoman and things were not looking good for us.
- Round 2:
Things got even worse as Lord Thanalor wiped out our Halaran Huntress immediately in round two. We quickly recovered as our Blackmoor Wild Elf was able to take down Ulundin Overseer, followed by our Thanalorian Blade dealing the final blow on the opponent team's Halaran Huntress and both teams now had four cards left in the battle.
- Round 3:
In the third round we were ahead as our Blackmoor Wild Elf eliminated Halfling Refugee. Our celebration was cut short soon as the opponent team's Thanalorian Blade took out ours.
- Round 4:
We are on round four and the battle is evenly poised consider the opponent still had Lord Thanalor which was no pushover. Thanalorian Blade was a strong offensive monster as well. Fortunately we were able to resist the attack and there were no casualties this round.
- Round 5
As round five started Lord Thanalor wiped out our Quilliun Legionary who was doing a formidable job resisting all the attack. We fought back soon after as our Blackmoor Wild Elf took revenge by taking Lord Thanalor down with Execute ability and we now have the upper hand. Our win was almost certain when later this round Arcane Skinwalker eliminated the Thanalorian Blade.
- Round 6
At the start of round six, we were in a comfortable position and the victory was a matter of time. Our Blackmoor Wild Elf started of the round by wiping out Ujurak Elder, the last card from the opponent's line up.

4 | Our star card of the battle also happens to be the hidden gem our article is about. Let me share my insights why I consider Blackmoor Wild Elf as a hidden gem considering it only has 2 magic damage and 3 hp and 3 speed at level 4 which does not feel offensively or defensively strong enough. Then how did this card manage to get 4 important kills in the battle and ensured our victory? Blackmoor Wild Elf belonging to the Elf bloodline gets the ability of Execute with our Archon Kaylia Silverleaf and that is deadly. Not to forget the Camouflage ability that ensured she could not be targeted unless she was in the frontline or the opponent had Reveal or Scattershot. Additionally, the card also has the ability of Amplify at level two and above and Cripple at the highest level. I personally play this card very often with Kaylia Silverleaf and it has always proved to be a hidden gem for me. |
