Hello fellow Splinterlands addict! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying your weekend. @affliction here with a new post on a Splinterlands battle focusing on Little Leag ue ruleset.
BATTLE RULES :
- Mana Cap : 28
-
Rule sets : Aim True: All units gain True Strike (attacks will never miss). This applies to magic attacks even if Phase is in play. Use Magic Reflect, Return Fire, or Thorns to ensure that your opponent's units pay for their guaranteed hit. Close Range: All units have Close Range (can use ranged attacks from the first position). See Close Range ability. Little League: You can only summon units and Archons that cost 4 or less mana.
-
Available Splinters : Fire Earth Life
RULE SET IN THE SPOTLIGHT:
You can only summon units and Archons that cost 4 or less mana.
The Little League ruleset changes the way a Splinterlands battle is played as it removes the usual heavy tanks and high-mana legendaries, forcing both players to build teams with low-cost but highly efficient monsters. As a result, battles under this ruleset are often faster and more tactical, where every single mana point matters. Success usually depends on choosing monsters with strong utility abilities. In this article today we will be focusing on one such battle and I'll explain my line-up and how it helped me to win the battle.

THE HIGHLIGHTS : * Round 1:
Round one started quite nicely for us as our Ashen Cindergrim took out Continuum Seer giving us a solid advantage. To make our dominance stand out even more, our Blazebeard Merc eliminated the Halfling Refugee in the last turn of the round.
- Round 2:
Round two starts off in similar fashion as in the very first turn of the round our Continuum Seer wiped out Taye Loreswift. Later in the round, our Ashen Cindergrim bagged it's second kill of the match eliminating Night Stalker, the main damage dealer of the opponent team. And just like the first round, our Blazebeard Merc ended the round with another kill. This time his victim was the opponent team's Ashen Cindergrim.
- Round 3:
In round three, we were in a comfortable position as victory was simply a matter of time for us. And soon our Blazebeard Merc dealt the killing blow on Halfshell Seer bagging his third kill of the match.

STRATEGY: Our strategy for the battle was to have Conclave Artificer act as the main tank with it's formidable 8 HP and 7 Armor with Void Armor ability which is very difficult to take down and surely it did it's job well. The Continuum Seer with it's 3 magic damage and 8 speed was selected to contribute offensively. Other notable thought process that went into the line up was having Inept Healer in the team who ensured the team members were healed when needed with the Corrupted Healing ability. Our Ashen Cindergrim was another key card of the line up that helped to negate the opponent team's magic damage with the Silence ability and placing in the fifth position also ensured that the Incendiary from Blazebeard Merc boosts the attack of Ashen Cindergrim curtesy of the Painforge ability. And having Blazebeard Merc in the team is an absolute no brainer in Little League ruleset as it is capable of wiping out almost any low mana opponent with it's 5 melee damage paired with Piercing and Bloodlust. The Portly Cannoneer was selected for this line up to act as a support for our Blazebeard Merc with the Inspire ability.
WHY LITTLE LEAGUE: Now let's understand why I wanted to focus on writing this post around Little League. I feel Fithe Bladestone has the best set of cards available for such a ruleset specially in the modern format and I love playing this lineup anytime I get this ruleset and have the mentioned cards available. Though this article I wanted to tell everyone how dominant this line up is in Little League. The other reason I love playing Little League is because it rules out the overpowered Rebellion Summoners like Lorkus and Eternal Tofu and let's the players strategize differently.
MVP:
Card | Kills | Contribution |

3 | The MVP in the battle was definitely our Blazebeard Merc whose dominance in the battle was proven with three kills and was a force to reckon with. It is undoubtedly one of the strongest cards to play in Little League and low mana matches. I hope I do not get frowned upon because body shaming him associating the card with these rulesets 😅 |
