Muy buen día hivers y creativos, ayer fue un día realmente excepcional. Solemos olvidar lo sencillo y simple que es volvernos a sentir en casa, mejor dicho: en el calor del hogar. Como migrante he aprendido a agradecer todas las veces que las matriarcas de mi familia me dijeron: ven y aprende. Porque sin duda alguna donde esta un Venezolano haciendo las cosas bienes, también estamos mostrando gran parte de nuestra tierra cultura y valores.
Good morning hivers and creatives, yesterday was a really exceptional day. We tend to forget how simple and easy it is to feel at home again, better said: in the warmth of home. As a migrant I have learned to be grateful for all the times the matriarchs of my family told me: come and learn. Because without a doubt, where a Venezuelan is doing the right things, we are also showing a great part of our culture and values.

Como también considero importante que una vez estás en sintonía contigo y tu propósito todo lo demás paso a paso se va alineando a tu favor. En medio de tanto frío, yo tomé la iniciativa de pintar una flor por día, ya que septiembre es el mes de la primera aca en Chile, ya he pintado 4, acá puedes verlas, son ejercicios medianamente rapido que hago: el girasol, lirios rosados, las rosas, las que mas me costo hasta ahora el ave del paraíso y la lavanda que tanto me calma.
Once you are in tune with yourself and your purpose everything else step by step is aligned in your favor. In the midst of so much cold, I took the initiative to paint a flower a day, since September is the month of the first flower here in Chile, I have already painted 4, here you can see them, they are medium fast exercises that I do: the sunflower, pink lilies, roses, the ones that cost me the most so far the bird of paradise and lavender that calms me so much.

Sin embargo, septiembre también es el mes de la Virgen del Valle, la patrona del Oriente de Venezuela, de donde vengo yo. Hacía mucho tiempo sentía las ganas de pintar una, pero por cosas de la vida, hasta hace 2 días llega mi prima con la noticia que estuvo en la misa y le pareció maravillosa, se sintió muy emotiva, afirmando que iríamos el propio día de la Virgen, ayer 8, le comente lo que quería hacer y me dijo: dale, y la llevamos para que la bendiga. Así fue que reuní los materiales y me puse manos a las obras.
However, September is also the month of the Virgen del Valle, the patron saint of Eastern Venezuela, where I come from. Tuve 12 horas repartidas en 2 bloques, en total concentración pintando a la Virgen del Valle Patrona del Oriente. Aunque no pinte la flor por día, si le hice muchas a ella, grandes y pequeñas, tanto en la parte de la base como en su manto, tambien le hice unos puntos semejante a las perlas, joya por la cual se reconoce a la virgen. Confieso que tenía mucho miedo de dañarla o que quedara rara, pero me prometí saber cuando detenerme, sobre todo en el rostro y las manos ya que es lo que más me cuesta.
I painted during 12 hours distributed in 2 blocks, in total concentration painting the Virgin of the Valley, Patroness of the East. Although I did not paint the flower per day, I made many of them, big and small, both in the base and in her mantle, I also made some dots similar to pearls, jewel by which the virgin is recognized. I confess that I was very afraid of damaging her or that she would look strange, but I promised myself to know when to stop, especially on the face and hands since it is what I find most difficult.

Así pues avancé en la corona, el cielo y el mar, también le agregue unos detalles marítimos en la parte de abajo, ya que somos de la costa oriental, la playa y su bondad nos representa. Trate todo bajo una misma paleta de colores: la arena, los caracoles, la estrella y la concha marina.

Lo curioso es que vi muchas referencias para el traje, aunque queria resaltar los colores dela bandera: amarillo, azul y rojo. También, he querido resaltar o al menos despertar la ternura en mis obras, pues es la reflexión que vengo aplicando gracias a la arteterapia en mi, así fue como decidí los colores del vestido.
The funny thing is that I saw many references for the costume, although I wanted to highlight the colors of the flag: yellow, blue and red. Also, I wanted to highlight or at least awaken the tenderness in my works, because it is the reflection that I have been applying thanks to the art therapy in me, that's how I decided the colors of the dress.

Por supuesto que entre cada pincelada , hacía una meditación activa de gratitud. Porque aunque yo no le hablo mucho, se que mi mamá si lo hace. También le conté mucho de este camino de entregarle a más personas la oportunidad de aplicar el arte como desahogo, relajación, terapia en sí.

En la primera jornada me detuve como a las 3 am, porque yo me dije: si pierdes tiempo viendo cosas en la pantalla ¿por qué no aprovecharlo de esta forma? De paso que tenía la energía y tampoco tiempo para hacerlo, así fue como hice el boceto, las bases de colores y me dedique por completo a que en la mirada y su rostro me generara ternura y calma. Pues los que suelo hacer son muy marcados o duros.
On the first day I stopped at about 3 am, because I said to myself: if you waste time watching things on the screen, why not take advantage of it in this way? Since I had the energy and time to do it, that's how I made the sketch, the color bases and I dedicated myself completely to the look and her face to generate tenderness and calmness. La jornada siguiente fue de afinar, agregar detalles mediante pinceladas mínimas. Finalmente dejar secar, para luego firmarlo junto a mi sobrino y mi prima. Una vez listos, nos fuimos a la iglesia, donde la misa estuvo dirigida a la ternura y generosidad del amor de la madre, que ella está en todos nosotros y gracias a estos encuentros entre paisanos rescatamos nuestras costumbres y amor por la patria, imaginense mi sorpresa cuando cuando escuche eso. Como también ver a la Virgen del Valle de la iglesia, llena de rosas rojas como las que pinte en la mía.
The next day was about fine tuning, adding details with minimal brushstrokes. Finally let it dry, and then sign it with my nephew and my cousin. Once ready, we went to the church, where the mass was directed to the tenderness and generosity of the mother's love, that she is in all of us and thanks to these meetings between countrymen we rescue our customs and love for the homeland, imagine my surprise when I heard that. As well as seeing the Virgin of the Valley in the church, full of red roses like the ones I painted in mine.

Sin duda alguna fue toda una experiencia amorosa y de visualización a través del arte, por eso hivers como siempre les digo, abranse a nuevas experiencia, escriban a mano, pinte, permítanse un tiempo para ustedes, para vaciar la mente y llenar el alma.
