In my side of this world here in Africa, most especially as a Nigerian, we have that primary opinion that a woman owns the home and is responsible to keep it running by ensuring proper home cleanliness and the welfare of everyone in the family.

Naturally we know women are flexible at heart and possess loving and caring nature especially when it comes to people we love. We have that ability to multitask between our role as a wife, mother, sister or in-law and at times coupled with career and that's why most time it's not always about being a feminist that makes us claim that what a man can do, a woman can do better but based on factual evidences and proof of what we can do.
In most African homes that I've seen and closely witnessed, men are not really supportive of their wives in terms of domestic chores or taking care of the home because their beliefs are based on the role of financially providing for the family unlike in the movies where you get to see most men treating their wives right especially that breakfast in bed, lol.

This made me remember one of the discussions we had on Neoxian city discord server some days ago on the statistics of men who help their wives out with house chores and 80% was said to be what we tag as "I don't care OR it's not my duty" men.
Though this may not be a standard statistics and may be statistics based on assumptions but most people would still agree to this fact. I've seen a man tell someone close to me that all he has to do in his home was to sit, relaxed and watch TV while the wife does all the house chores no matter how exhausting it may be because it is her duty, which sounds odd.

Same way I've seen a home, a very close one to me at that, that the husband gets to assist the wife in the house chores not because he's daft and a woman wrapper (like some Africans would call a man who joins in house chores) but because he knows it is their home and their duty to help one another.
So the statistics may not be a balanced one of 50:50 but I know there are still few men out there who helps out to be a home-maker alongside their wives. My man must be a home-maker not a TV watcher, lol.
