So, I got to work, gathered some friends, one of whom lent me his house, set a date, and began the preparations. Although I initially thought of it as a casual and simple gathering, it ended up being a full-fledged baby shower.

You have no idea how much fun I had planning everything. I didn't have a lot of resources, but as they say, “you make do.” I bought a tablecloth, balloons, and cardboard, and I made a garland and a sign, all blue, with an elephant theme. I think it turned out really cute.
We made sweet and savory cookies, popcorn, and cakes. Everyone contributed some food or drink to share and brought gifts. We played games, like measuring the belly with a candle, which was very funny. We even played one of my favorite games, JENGA.

My friend had a great time, and the plan worked because she wasn't expecting it. The only downside was that her husband couldn't attend because he was working, but we definitely had a very nice afternoon.
It feels amazing to do something for a friend, doesn't it? It still makes me feel good to remember that day.
