**Fireproof** is a 2008 **drama and romance** film that gives you goose bumps and leaves you with a lot to think about. The film tells the story of Caleb, a highly experienced veteran firefighter whose marriage is a disaster, on the verge of collapse. His wife Catherine, tired of her husband's rejection, disregard, and distance, decides to ask him for a divorce.

Although Fireproof is a Christian film, this does not detract from its magic in the slightest (even for those who are not particularly religious). It is a romantic film that explores many aspects of life that you can relate to and situations that you can extrapolate to your everyday life, even if you are not married or on the verge of divorce. It's not just about seeing if Caleb manages to save his marriage, it's about accompanying him as he not only faces death more than once, but also transforms himself. His parents also play a big role in the story. It's an act of redemption and love.

No es solo ver si Caleb logra recuperar su matrimonio, es el hecho de acompañarlo a ver como cada día no solo está al borde de la muerte más de una vez, sino como se va transformando, además sus padres tienen un gran papel en la historia. Es un acto de redención y de amor.
Watching it fills you with emotions, you'll probably cry, and fall into despair with Caleb, while understanding Catherine's broken heart and how hard it is for her to understand what is happening to her husband, to believe in the love he is showing her, to forgive and to trust again.

For me, this movie is a 10/10. I highly encourage you to watch it without any preconceptions, just let yourself be captivated by its characters, its dialogue, and its music.
