https://youtu.be/rQoaMWW6OYI?si=JUUCfdk5Af-pFM02 Calvary greetings to you in the name of Jesus. I'm glad to be here again @mcgi to share my entry on the topic "Why do people die" as discussed by bro Eli. It's a general known fact that death is inevitable. Even though death is not evil as bro Eli discussed, nobody wants to die. People are scared of death. However, everyone must die someday. The Bible makes us understand in the book of Ecclesiastes 8:8, that no man has power to retain spirit or power over the day of death. People die because a day has been appointed for their death, and judgement follows thereafter, according to Hebrew 9:27. It doesn't matter whether we have long days or short, everyone will die at the end.
Now, as Christians, we should not be afraid of death because this world is not our everlasting home. Once, God has given us enough time to know Him, serve Him and finish our assignments, He calls us home. In fact, I do marvel at the words of Apostle Paul in the book of Philippians 1:21
Where he says, "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain." What a boldness! What a knowledge of purpose!! When we know heaven is our home and that we are just here on assistance, we don't fear death again, because it's a must to report to Who sent us on errands. Apostle Paul said to die is gain because it's an opportunity to be with our father, and be far above all problems and anxiety of this world. In fact, if a believer dies in Jesus, he/she has nothing to lose. Truly, death is not evil but an opportunity to join the saints.
Ours is just to live right on earth. Thoroughly follow the commandments of God and do His will. Serve Him diligently and make Him our hope. The Bible makes us to understand in the book of Acts 17:29, that in Him we live, in him we move and have our being. So, nothing else matters when Christ is our hope. If we live, good, because it's an opportunity to gain more souls for Christ, and if we die, it's not also bad, because we will reign with Christ. So, people die because, a day has accounted for each of us to stop the work and we to eventually give reports of everything we have done.
Thanks for stopping by once again. I appreciate you all.
