We called them, "two musketeers". I never believed they weren't siblings. Daniel and Mary were two inseparable friends. In fact, their friendship blossomed like a tree planted by the riverside. They only met on campus and the rest was history. People started making speculations right from their first year in the university, that they would end up together. Well, that's what I heard. She was pained to the marrow. Her daughter kept complicating issues for her. At first, it was unwanted pregnancy that brought shame to the household. She held Daniel's hand and told him, "Nothing will happen to our baby, I promise yo..The father didn't even let them finish their farewell, as he zoomed off. "Mary! Mary!!" Daniel kept screaming, ran after the car, till he couldn't keep up again.
