It is about time for another article in this series "How To Memorize Fast For Exams". This one was already long overdue. We will be talking about THE SOCRATIC METHOD today. So here it is...


WHO IS SOCRATES?

SOCRATES was an ancient Greek philosopher from Athens who is regarded as the father of modern Western philosophy. Although he died tragically because of his teachings (unappreciated at the time), his great works have survived him for centuries. Among those works is one which we at Air-Clinic have found to be very applicable to studying for exam purposes.


THE SOCRATIC METHOD

This is also known as "method of elenchus". It's core is essentially about asking questions before making conclusions. SOCRATES was known to answer questions with questions. He believed that questions are the reasons for answers. He also believed that once one has stopped asking questions one no longer has the capacity for growth.
