Hello Hivers, how are you? Welcome back to my space. Today, I bring to you my fabulous and spooky hair transformation, quite fitting for the season.
As you know, I've loved purple hair for a long time, and this isn't the first time I've done it. However, I hadn't been able to do it for quite some time because I couldn't find the right hair dye, and I had also been trying out other colors that I wanted to try on my hair for a while.
Fortunately, just this month, when I wanted to transform my hair in this way, I was able to get the dyes, plus everything fell into place so that I could make this transformation, and even sooner than I expected, on a day that wasn't planned, it happened anyway, and it was spectacular, courtesy of my beautiful mother-in-law.
Let me tell you, it was Saturday, October 4, and I was running some quick errands because I was supposed to go home quickly to do some chores that I had left pending. So I took advantage of the fact that I had been paid to buy the dye, and even though I didn't have much time because I had an event that day, I didn't think about going to the hairdresser, even though I wanted to dye my hair that day to look nice for the event, which was a concert by my husband's band. I thought about dyeing it myself or having my sister do it if she had time, but fate said, “You put yourself GOOD!”

My mother-in-law works near where I buy my hair dye, and since I hadn't seen her in person for a while, I missed her and had something to give her, so I stopped by and said hello. I told her about the dye and stayed there for a while. I thought about dyeing my hair there and then, but as I don't like to bother people, she was a bit busy and short on time, so I thought I'd do it later, but she told me not to worry, that she had time and would dye it quickly. And I, after thinking about it, said okay.
I thought it would only take a little while, but I ended up staying the whole afternoon getting my hair done, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't change a thing, because not only did it look spectacular, but I also had a wonderful afternoon, which I needed since the day had started a bit stormy and I really needed to take care of myself, something I hadn't done in a while.
Here's the step-by-step process:
1.- First, I started by combing and detangling my hair. Although I had already combed it quite a bit in previous days, there was still a part that was a little tangled, which took me some time, but it had to be done.
Here in the following photos, you can see the shades my hair had, which were between orange, purple, and reddish, some parts more bleached than others. You can also see my gray hairs and my natural hair color, which I hadn't seen in a long time due to the mess of colors and constant dyeing in recent years.
My natural shade is, according to my mother, dark brown, although I see it as black. I've always seen it as black and I like it because it contrasts nicely with my skin tone and I've always loved my black color. However, with the gray hair issue, it wasn't looking good, and I didn't want to dye it black either because I had been wanting to explore other colors for a while, which is what I started doing a while ago when I started dyeing my hair, as you have seen on my blog. But even though I love the color black, I always go back to my favorite color, which is purple for my hair. I love it. Here are the photos.

Sorry it looks so dry, I hadn't washed or wet it recently when I took it off, and when I start to detangle it, it ends up like this. Plus, the excess dye has made it look a bit ugly, and it was time to trim the ends.
Quick pause here to remind you all, PLEASE, HYDRATE YOUR HAIR AND SKIN. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT. We tend to believe, "Oh, it can wait or so...", but actually it can be too late at one point, don´t forget YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE STUFF AND YOU MATTER MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD.
-
2.- The next step was, of course, to apply the dye, which he did layer by layer. You can see it here, more or less, since I have it all tied up and in place, but yes, every part, no matter how small, was well dyed. It was a lot of work, but she did a great job and covered all the parts. Three large dyes were used and she covered all the parts (even the painting table).

Then, of course, came the rinse, where they washed my hair with a moisturizing treatment and combed it again. They washed it several times to remove all the residue and then added conditioner with a moisturizing treatment, and that was it.

I was going to leave it like that, even though I wanted to straighten it to change my style a little, since my hair is naturally wavy and I hadn't straightened it in a long time. But because of the time, I thought I wouldn't have a chance, so I said, “I'll do it later, I'll come back tomorrow,” and I was about to leave. But she said, “No, no, stay there and dry it while I do another service, and I'll straighten it for you as soon as I'm done.” Because she was doing another service at the time.
That's normal for her. She doesn't like to leave things half done, especially if it's to make someone look good. It's better to do the whole job, and I understand her. I'm the same way, haha.
Here you can see my hair half dry on one side and still wet on the other, so you can see the contrast in color, because when my hair is dry, the color looks better.
When it's dry, it looks more vibrant and clear, and when it's wet, it has a darker tone that I also love, and I wanted to show you:

And here is a photo of him drying it properly, piece by piece, and then ironing it as well.

Once that was done, here's a photo of her finishing off my hair with the dryer and brush, and then she straightened it with the flat iron.
And well, here you can see the result with my hair straight and beautiful at her salon, where you can see the logo. You can come here if you're in La Victoria. I highly recommend it. She is an excellent stylist, as are all the stylists at that salon, including my sister, who used to work there too, doing manicures, hairstyling, and makeup. She's the one who always does my awesome themed nails, which you can see on my Liketu profile https://m.liketu.com/@airintsukihana (this is not an advertisement).

And here are a couple of photos. Sorry about the dirty ceiling, I didn't notice it was like that where you can see my hair on the street, as the sun makes the color stand out even more, and at that time I was hiding a little bit from the sun, but anyway, you can see more photos on my blog where you can see more about how my hair turned out. And well, here you can see it.

Well, basically that was the process of changing my look. Once again, I am so grateful to my fabulous mother-in-law and one of her colleagues at the hair salon who also helped with the straightening. Her name is Luisa and she's also super cool. She did this really cool dye job on me that, even though it looks like I have highlights, is actually due to the way my hair was because I wanted it that way and some parts were lighter than others from previous dye jobs, but overall it turned out spectacular.
I hope to keep it up and I will follow her advice, because not only her, but all the hairdressers and people around me who have known me for many years told me to keep doing that, to keep taking care of it, and that it looked very nice on me. And if they're right, this is where we see the importance of taking care of your hair and your image, which isn't just about what other people say, but also about making yourself happy, and I especially needed that with all the storms I've been going through during this time.
Tell me, what did you think of the transformation? I would say it's a monstrous transformation in a good way, like Monster High, like the title of your movie Freak to Chic or something like that.
I loved it so much. It's perfect for the theme and perfect for some costumes I want to make just for this season and for my birthday. It's great, and it was just what I had in mind, although not exactly on this date, haha.
Without further ado, I hope you liked it, and I hope you have a great time. Thanks for reading, and best regards.
I'll read your comments!
