Epocilla calcarata

Epocilla is a genus of jumping spiders found throughout East Africa, South Asia, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. Some time ago, I caught a species belonging to the genus Epocilla, believed to be Epocilla calcarata, in the mangroves East Lhokseumawe. The spider's characteristics indicated it was a female. I noticed it was missing one leg. It may have suffered an unfortunate encounter with another predator. However, the loss of a leg doesn't necessarily make the spider less agile.
