Hivefest 10 - An akumagai experience for everyone who met him, part one?

The Zulu Wars beat at a frantic momentum each and every single morning since I have arrived in KL Malaysia.

Yes this is my post for #hivefest tropical surge. @roelandp you outdone yourself with your frantic almost unimaginable energy for the once in a year event.

Where do I begin? Well from the start I suppose.

The day before I left for Malaysia the ocean called so I spent the day chilling by the sandy beach resort at some random Cebu resort (maybe one day I'll take you on a little post tour or you can just come there with me LOL... You know who you are)

Arriving late at night I was somewhat perplexed by the fact I had forgotten to pay for my hotel room, I had just paid for my reservation, must be one of those late night drinking session reservation actions I find myself in almost always some times LOL. Yes ambiguous but you get what I give you.

Now being a hivefest virgin I knew no one personally so I had been shy to start up a conversation on the opening drinks night. I found a relief when I saw @lordbutterfly trying to order himself a beer, which he didn't go ahead with. I however like my beer more so I got myself and him one. Tactical move? Maybe. Making moments happen? Of course.

Prior to the beer though I was sitting by a pool couch when @techcoderx walked through the entrance, somewhat hesitantly (my observation), which I soon found out is just his demeanor, quiet guy but full of cogs working frantically in his head all the time. Borderline genius. Another observation.

I am digressing. I find myself doing that most of the time I write. Again, you get what I give.

Then in walks in the twins. @rivalzzz and @louis88, these two are my boys. They drink like a fish, like me!!! And they are always up for a good time and do not let the truth ruin a good story. Joke. On a serious note they have made me feel welcomed on the get go, cheers lads, anytime you two come to Cebu we going to paint some random town red.

The little group soon turned big with more hivers arriving for the drinks night. Lots of conversations and lots of drinks soon flowing even more. I think by this point had already finished 2 pints of beer so pretty well established my excitement and also from the tipsiness of the beer in the system. @walterjay joined the little table and the little round table I am sitting at soon becomes a little conversation circle consisting of 3 separate topics that is where I like things so I can really see what each and everyone one is about and just so I can know them better.

Not sure why I do it but I like listening to conversations far more than talking. Probably because once you open your mouth and talk you don't shut the fuck up. LOL

So many faces and so many introductions made the night go on till the late hours of the morning. Of course the real stayers were @starkerz and Cedric the entertainer (@stoodkev 's team) Sorry Cedric I couldn't for the life of me remember your hive handle at the time I wrote this, head is beating from Zulu war drums from the #beersaturday last night. Thanks @detlev.

Now these two were having a very passionate debate about the HBD interest rate and dropping big names and how it can be unsustainable for the hive ecosystem (too technical, TLDR or what ever - Interested? Message @starkerz he knows his shit.)

Not sure if I am making sense with my post but rest assured there is a method to this madness.

Digressing again..

Anyway. Day two or in actuality it is day 1 of hive conferencing

I did not realize this but sometimes you make an impression on people you did not know you had done so, @macchiatta walked hesitantly to introduce herself to me as if it was the first time we had interacted ever but I soon found out we had virtually met previously at the VR hivefest awhile back. Of course with her warm smile and quiet energy we became instant brother and sister vibe. But I soon found out it was more a niece uncle kind of vibe - I blame @aswita for labelling me occocha? not sure if I spelt it right. It's Indonesian are you really Asian?

I didn't mention it earlier in this post but @arcange is a very intense guy with deep thoughtful eyes that seem to burrow into your mind when he looks you in the eye. Intense and yet friendly. Must be a jedi mind thing. Overall a very nice man.

Oh I completely forgot this the first person that said hello to me was @gandalf at breakfast before the opening drinks night as I was going back to my room after breakfast. Thanks Gandalf letting me pass. Another nice guy.

I'm going to leave it for now. I want to swim by the pool and stop my mind from thinking about food.

@crimsonclad discussing passionately again, that's what I hear from her soft but persistent voice. She is not just beautiful but also very very bright. #friendzoned LOL
