Hello amazing people!
Welcome to Hive Music Festival Week 146, Round 2. For this week’s edition, I deemed it fit to do a cover of the song "You Are Great" by Steve Crown, a well-known Nigerian gospel artist. This is a song I deeply love, especially from the time it was newly released. I remember listening to it repeatedly because of its quality and spiritual depth.
The song is exceptionally well composed and beautifully delivered. Starting with the lead vocals, I must say that Steve Crown is a talented singer with all the necessary vocal skills to produce a powerful sound. His voice is well-suited for gospel music, and the way he transitions between different pitches is truly impressive. He’s definitely skillful in that aspect, and I genuinely enjoy listening to him.
The backup singers also deserve major recognition. They did an outstanding job! Each of them understood their parts and delivered them with precision. There was no clashing of voices; they harmonized well and knew exactly when to come in and when to pull back. Their performance complemented the lead vocal perfectly, and I truly commend their effort.
Now, the instrumentalists, honestly they completely blew my mind!
Their level of skill is remarkable. I couldn’t help but dance along to the rhythm of the music. Each instrumentalist played their role excellently, and I sincerely applaud them for such a great performance.
