Cette semaine j'ai encore un peu avancé bien que je n'ai pas pu travailler autant sur l'arbre que je l'espérais. Je fais très peu de croquis préparatoires, je travaille surtout d'après documents et d'après l'idée que j'ai en tête, ensuite la sculpture évolue en fonction des contraintes que je rencontre. Je trouve qu'un croquis en 2D est trop réducteur pour pouvoir prévoir ici par exemple la situation spatiale des branches J'ai terminé de travailler sur l'assemblage et il va falloir passer aux stades suivants. Il est temps de démonter la pièce pour permettre d'effectuer les différents traitements . Il y a 11 pièces différentes assemblées par vis et écrous. Les finitions seront: argenture patinée, brun foncé, vert et doré.
This week I still have a little advance although I could not work as much on the tree as I hoped. I do very little preparatory sketches, I work mainly from documents and according to the idea that I have in mind, then the sculpture evolves according to the constraints that I encounter. I find that a sketch in 2D is too reductive to be able to predict here for example the spatial situation of the branches I finished working on the assembly and we will have to move on to the next stages. It is time to dismantle the room to allow the different treatments. There are 11 different pieces assembled by screws and nuts. The finishes will be: patinated silver, dark brown, green and gold.

Ensuite ce seront les branches qui sont d'abord polies puis argentées dans un bain d'électrolyse et enfin patinées. J'espère terminer le travail cette semaine pour pouvoir montrer le résultat fini le week-end prochain.
