This morning I woke up early and went to Kalemegdan park. This allows me to do three things I wholeheartedly enjoy - street photography around the fortress, train Tai Chi while the park is still peaceful and without visitors, and catch up with the daily reading, particularly on the bus to there and back.

Starting the morning right is essential, at least for me. I need to have me time and can't immediately jump to finishing stressful daily tasks. I used to read books about morning rituals and crafted my own to soothe my personality. But it's a thin line - if I prolong my morning habits too far into the day I end up procrastinating the rest of it.

For today, the exhibition of classic cars, old-timers was organized at Kalemegdan followed by their parade around it. I forgot about it until I accidentally bumped into it around 9am, there were plenty of enthusiasts around so I couldn't take many photos from the crowd. I am not much of a car expert myself but it was interesting so all these extravagant looking machines.

The park itself as you know it is pretty deserted in the morning, accept for people with dogs which you can count on. So there were some subjects that I could use in my photos. Stone walls were so bright and vibrant from the sunlight, and hidden passages are lying dark in the shadows creating the strong visual contrast. I hope you enjoy the photos! Taken with Fuji X-Pro 2 and 35mm F/2 lens.
