En este día especial, les hablaré acerca de este maravilloso viaje a mi playa favorita, Choroní. Mi mamá me invitó, a pesar de que andábamos cortas de dinero; sin embargo, se las ingenió para que todo saliera perfecto. Nos montamos en un autobús a primera hora de un sábado, con las mochilas listas y el ánimo por las nubes
On this special day, I will tell you about this wonderful trip to my favorite beach, Choroní. My mom invited me, even though we were short on money; however, she managed to make everything perfect. We got on a bus early on a Saturday morning, with our backpacks ready and our spirits high

El camino fue una fiesta visual: montañas verdes que rozaban el cielo y ríos que corrían a todo dar. En una parada improvisada probamos cocadas de coco y papelón, que nos dieron energía para el último tramo. Entre risas recordando anécdotas de la infancia, el trayecto se convirtió en un concierto ambulante
The road was a visual feast: green mountains touching the sky and rivers rushing by. At an impromptu stop, we tried coconut and brown sugar candies, which gave us energy for the last leg of the journey. Laughing and reminiscing about childhood stories, the trip turned into a traveling concert.

Al llegar a la posada, nos recibieron con un abrazo cálido y un paisaje de flores que parecían saludarnos. Dejamos las maletas y nos lanzamos de una al agua de la piscina; luego, en un parpadeo, estábamos bailando al ritmo de unas gaitas que sonaban lejanas, descalzas sobre la arena. A la hora del almuerzo, saboreamos pescado frito recién salido del mar, arepitas calientitas y un jugo de parchita que aún me sabe a mar. Entre un bocado y otro, brindamos por nuestra amiga cumpleañera y por esos momentos que se quedan grabados para siempre.
When we arrived at the inn, we were greeted with a warm hug and a landscape of flowers that seemed to welcome us. We left our bags and jumped into the pool; then, in the blink of an eye, we were dancing barefoot on the sand to the rhythm of distant bagpipes. At lunchtime, we savored freshly fried fish straight from the sea, warm arepas, and passion fruit juice that still tastes like the sea to me. Between bites, we toasted our birthday friend and those moments that will remain etched in our memories forever.

Cuando el sol empezó a caer, caminamos por la orilla sintiendo cómo el cielo se pintaba de naranjas y rosas, y con la música del oleaje de fondo improvisamos unos pasos de baile junto al malecón. Nos reímos, cantamos y hasta hicimos una mini sesión de yoga antes de empacar todo. Subir de nuevo al autobús el domingo por la tarde fue agridulce: nostalgia de despedida, pero felices de haber vivido un fin de semana increíble. Gracias, mamá, por retar la falta de presupuesto y regalarnos este escape tan chévere. Este fue todo mi post, espero que les haya gustado. As the sun began to set, we walked along the shore, watching the sky turn orange and pink, and with the music of the waves in the background, we improvised a few dance steps by the boardwalk. We laughed, sang, and even did a mini yoga session before packing everything up. Getting back on the bus on Sunday afternoon was bittersweet: nostalgic about saying goodbye, but happy to have had such an incredible weekend.
