Hoy les presentaré a Mussolini, nuestro nuevo compañero felino. Después de tanto soñar con un pequeño gatito naranja que llenara de luz cada rincón de la casa, por fin llegó el día en que lo recibimos con los brazos abiertos. Su presencia ha cambiado por completo la dinámica de nuestro hogar, despertando emociones que ni sabía que podía sentir ante un par de patitas diminutas.
Today I will introduce you to Mussolini, our new feline companion. After dreaming so much about a little orange kitten that would fill every corner of the house with light, the day finally came when we welcomed him with open arms. His presence has completely changed the dynamics of our home, awakening emotions that I didn't even know I could feel before a pair of tiny paws.

Con la generosidad de una gran amiga que cría gatitos, supimos de Mussolini cuando apenas tenía dos meses. Entre todos sus hermanos, él destacaba por su tamaño más reducido y esos ojos que parecían dos faros curiosos. La primera vez que lo sostuve, noté cómo su corazoncito latía a todo ritmo y eso me hizo vibrar de emoción. Era como si, en ese instante, todos los días anteriores se hubieran preparado para recibirlo con una celebración silenciosa. Verlo atigrado con su pelaje naranja intenso fue el regalo más tierno que me podía dar la vida.
With the generosity of a great friend who raises kittens, we learned about Mussolini when he was only two months old. Among all his siblings, he stood out for his smaller size and those eyes that looked like two curious lighthouses. The first time I held him, I noticed how his little heart was beating at full rhythm and that made me vibrate with emotion. It was as if, in that instant, all the previous days had been prepared to welcome him with a silent celebration. Seeing him brindle with his bright orange fur was the most tender gift that life could give me.

Mussolini es pura energía y alegría. Desde temprano pasa todo el día correteando por la sala como un cohete, desafiando la altura de todo al saltar sobre el sofá, cama y cualquier lugar que le llamara la atención. Cuando decide descansar, se enrosca en mis brazos y duerme como si trabajará. Su carácter juguetón y feliz convierte cualquier momento de la rutina en una sorpresa constante.
Mussolini is pure energy and joy. Early in the morning he spends all day running around the living room like a rocket, defying the height of everything by jumping on the couch, bed and any place that caught his attention. When he decides to rest, he curls up in my arms and sleeps as if he will work. His playful and happy nature turns any moment of routine into a constant surprise.

La convivencia con mi gata Nube y mi perro Toddy puso a prueba nuestra paciencia. Nube lo miraba con recelo, arqueando el lomo y quejándose con cada intento de acercamiento, mientras Toddy le tenía miedo cada vez que Mussolini se atrevía a olfatearlo, es que mi bebé es muy dramático. Con juguetes compartidos, premios y caricias en grupo, logramos que cada encuentro adquiriera un matiz más amable. Hoy, aunque aún se lanzan miradas de “no te acerques tanto”, duermen a pocos centímetros unos de otros, y esa pequeña tregua ya se siente como una gran victoria. Este fue todo mi post, espero que les haya gustado. Dejen en sus comentarios si les costó adaptar a sus nuevas mascotas a la rutina de su hogar🤍😸
Living with my cat Nube and my dog Toddy tested our patience. Nube looked at him with suspicion, arching his back and complaining with every attempt to approach him, while Toddy was afraid every time Mussolini dared to sniff him, because my baby is very dramatic. With shared toys, treats and group petting, we managed to make each encounter take on a gentler nuance. Today, although they still give each other "don't get too close" looks, they sleep within inches of each other, and that little truce already feels like a big win.
