Hola, ¿qué tal todos?, bueno, hoy voy a contarles un poco de un viaje, muy diferente, a lo que estoy acostumbrada a contarles, esta vez no fui exclusivamente a pasear, fue un viaje por trabajo.
Hello, how are you all? Well, today I'm going to tell you a little bit about a trip that was very different from what I usually tell you about. This time, I didn't go exclusively for leisure; it was a work trip.
Este lugar, me pareció un sitio en donde puedes encontrar insumos, máquinas y demás, mucho más económico que aquí en Venezuela; mucha gente lo sabe, pero no sabe la diferencia abismal de precios que puedes conseguir y es una forma en la que tú puedes generar dinero invirtiendo y trayendo para vender a otro costo.
This place seemed to me to be a place where you can find supplies, machines, and other items much cheaper than here in Venezuela. Many people know about it, but they don't know about the huge price difference you can get, and it's a way you can make money by investing and bringing things back to sell at a different price.
Fui al norte de Santander, específicamente a Cúcuta, en el país amigo Colombia, es la primera vez que iba a este lugar. Así que les voy a contar un poco de lo que fue el recorrido, la llegada al lugar y lo que compré.
I went to northern Santander, specifically to Cúcuta, in our sister country Colombia. It was my first time visiting this place. So, I'm going to tell you a little bit about the trip, my arrival there, and what I bought.---

🚙El inicio del viaje: "The start of the journey"
Nos despertamos muy tempranito por la madrugada y arrancamos desde Pedraza, Ciudad Bolivia, aquí en Barinas, Venezuela, en carro particular hasta San Cristóbal. Fue un viaje bastante largo, nos fuimos preparadas con nuestra comida, algunas frutas, agua, lo suficiente como para nosotros poder, digamos, comer durante el camino, sin detenernos para que se nos hiciera un poco más rápido la vía.
We woke up very early in the morning and left Pedraza, Ciudad Bolivia, here in Barinas, Venezuela, in a private car to San Cristóbal. It was quite a long trip, so we prepared food, some fruit, water, enough for us to eat along the way without stopping, so that the journey would be a little faster.---

Por ahí van a verme “en la cocina”, como dijeron las chicas, en la parte de atrás del auto, haciéndonos panes con jamón y queso para nuestro almuerzo jeje.

Nosotras decidimos dejar el carro en San Cristóbal, donde hay unos familiares, luego tomamos un autobús hasta San Antonio, y así después luego cruzar la frontera.

Ya del lado colombiano, tomamos un taxi, hasta el lugar donde nos íbamos a quedar, que eran unos familiares también que viven allí. Al llegar, nos recibieron, conocimos su casita, a sus mascotas que son tan adorables.
Once on the Colombian side, we took a taxi to the place where we were going to stay, which was with relatives who also live there. When we arrived, they welcomed us, showed us their little house, and introduced us to their adorable pets.---

Luego de descansar un rato, darnos un baño, decidimos ir a comer. Las chicas nos llevaron a comer en KFC, yo jamás había comido en KFC, primera vez también, y bueno, me pareció muy rico.

🛒El día de las compras: "Shopping day"
Al día siguiente nosotros sí decidimos ir a hacer nuestras diligencias, cambiamos nuestro dinero, fuimos a hacer compras. Como saben, pues yo tengo un emprendimiento que es trabajo con papelería, con cosas de fiesta, y pues mi hermana decidió unirse a este emprendimiento y nos montamos en la cuestión de querer hacer tazas personalizadas, franelas personalizadas, todo ese tipo de cosas que son de sublimar.
The next day, we decided to go about our business, exchange our money, and go shopping. As you know, I have a business that deals with stationery and party supplies, and my sister decided to join me in this venture. We got into the idea of making personalized mugs, personalized T-shirts, and all kinds of things that can be sublimated.

Aprovechamos y compramos un poco de papelería para poder surtir nuestro negocio. Visitamos algunos centros comerciales, vimos que hay cosas distintas que las que venden acá. Me sorprendió mucho la organización de las calles en Colombia, ya que tienen como digamos las avenidas o las calles organizadas por productos o servicios.
We took advantage of the opportunity and bought some stationery to stock our business. We visited some shopping centers and saw that they sell different things than what we have here. I was very surprised by how organized the streets are in Colombia, since they have avenues or streets organized by products or services.
Es muy práctico porque ahí tú puedes encontrar todas las opciones que tú necesitas sin ir saltando de un lado para otro, sino nada más en una sola calle.
It's very convenient because you can find everything you need there without having to go from one place to another; it's all on one street.
Lamentablemente, pues como todo lo bueno, también hay cosas malas. En Colombia, pues actualmente vi demasiadas personas en situación de calle. Preocupante, ojalá que tomen medidas al respecto. También nos encontramos con varios irresponsables en la vía. Por ahí les voy a mostrar una foto que alcanzamos a tomar, pero bueno. En esta vida hay de todo, así que, pues, no me sorprende ver este tipo de cosas.
Unfortunately, like everything good, there are also bad things. In Colombia, I saw too many people living on the streets. It's worrying, and I hope they take measures to address it. We also encountered several irresponsible people on the road. I'll show you a photo we managed to take, but anyway. Pero sí, aparte de eso, vi bastante arte en las calles, y también del lado de San Cristóbal vi bastantes grafitis muy lindos.
