Description from Strava: Ever since seeing the film Trading Places, starring Eddie Murphy and Dan Ackroyd, I have wanted to see the opera mentioned in the police station scene, La Bohéme.
My hope this morning when I went out to Sax Salon on Vicar Lane to get my hair done, was that I could stroll by the box office and score someone’s returned ticket. It took a phone call, finding IRL people, and a bit of killing time, but I scored myself a ticket. 🎫
I figured I was in trouble when the agent at the ticket office said, “are you looking for a ticket on a budget?”
Without thinking I said, “why? How good a seat is it?” She looked up and smiled, “it’s Dress Circle—A21.” I felt my knees weaken. “Goddamn. Hook me up!” I’ve been to the Leeds Grand Theatre several times, but I ain’t ever had a seat like this!!
