La música siempre me ha parecido un espacio perfecto para experimentar, jugar y dejar fluir ideas que a veces aparecen sin buscarlas. En esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes un tema muy especial para mí, porque es de mi autoría y nace justamente de esa necesidad de crear algo fresco. Lo he titulado “Red-Funky”, y lo trabajé con mi guitarra como instrumento principal, apoyándome en algunos loops que me ayudaron a darle una base rítmica y un poco más de color.
La idea surgió mientras improvisaba con ciertos grooves que tenían un aire funky. Poco a poco empecé a darle forma a una melodía que se sentía vibrante, llena de energía, pero también con un toque personal que me hacía conectar más con el sonido. A partir de ahí, decidí grabarlo y dejarlo fluir como un tema propio, sin presiones ni demasiada producción, solo dejando que la guitarra hablara en cada compás.
Lo que más me gusta de este proyecto es la libertad que sentí al construirlo. No me limité a un estilo fijo, sino que me permití mezclar texturas, aprovechar la espontaneidad de los loops y sobre todo dejar que la guitarra llevara la voz principal. Siento que “Red-Funky” tiene esa mezcla entre ritmo y frescura que me motiva a seguir explorando este camino creativo.
Más que una simple pieza instrumental, para mí es una forma de expresar mi pasión por la música y mi deseo de seguir creciendo como guitarrista y compositor. Espero que al escucharlo puedan disfrutarlo tanto como yo al crearlo, y que esta pequeña muestra de mi trabajo sea también una invitación a dejarse llevar por la energía del funk y la libertad de la improvisación.
Music has always been, for me, the perfect space to experiment, to play, and to let ideas flow freely — sometimes without even looking for them. This time I want to share a very special piece, because it is an original composition that came from that exact need to create something fresh. I decided to call it “Red-Funky”, a track built around my guitar as the main instrument, supported by a few loops that helped give it rhythm and a bit of extra color.
The idea was born while I was improvising with some grooves that carried a funky vibe. Little by little, a melody began to take shape — one that felt vibrant, energetic, but also personal enough to make me connect deeply with its sound. From that point on, I decided to record it and let it flow as a piece of my own, without pressure or heavy production, just allowing the guitar to speak in every bar.
What I love the most about this project is the freedom I felt while building it. I didn’t set limits to a single style; instead, I allowed myself to mix textures, explore spontaneity through the loops, and most of all, let the guitar carry the main voice. To me, Red-Funky has that balance between rhythm and freshness that keeps me motivated to continue exploring this creative path.
More than just an instrumental track, it represents a way to express my passion for music and my desire to keep growing as both a guitarist and composer. I truly hope that while listening, you can enjoy it as much as I did while creating it — and that this small piece of my work can also be an invitation to get carried away by the groove of funk and the freedom of improvisation.
