Para esta edición del Hive Music Festival traigo algo muy especial: un arreglo instrumental a guitarra eléctrica inspirado en un fragmento del clásico “You Are Not Alone” de Michael Jackson. Desde hace tiempo quería explorar este tema desde una perspectiva más íntima, tratando de capturar ese sentimiento cálido y vulnerable que transmite la melodía original, pero llevándolo hacia un lenguaje más personal, más mío. Este arreglo no busca imitar, sino reinterpretar y abrir un pequeño espacio emocional donde la guitarra pueda hablar con sinceridad.

Trabajé cada nota con intención, usando una mezcla de dinámica suave y frases expresivas que buscan mantener la esencia del tema, pero dándole ese toque eléctrico que tanto disfruto. El fragmento que elegí es uno de los más melódicos, y lo expandí con un par de líneas adicionales que surgieron de forma natural mientras improvisaba. Me enfoqué en lograr que el sonido fuera limpio, con un sustain cálido y un vibrato ligero, casi como si cada nota respirara por sí misma.

Los loops que utilicé son minimalistas: apenas una base armónica tenue que da soporte sin robar protagonismo. Preferí dejar al instrumento en primer plano, permitiendo que la interpretación llevara el peso emocional. Grabé varias tomas hasta encontrar la que transmitiera justo ese equilibrio entre sensibilidad y claridad.

Este arreglo es un pequeño homenaje, pero también una forma de expresar cómo la música puede transformarse en algo distinto sin perder su alma. For this edition of the Hive Music Festival, I’m bringing something truly special: an electric-guitar instrumental arrangement inspired by a fragment of Michael Jackson’s “You Are Not Alone.” I’ve wanted to explore this song from a more intimate angle for a long time—capturing that warm, vulnerable feeling of the original melody while translating it into a more personal sound. This arrangement doesn’t try to imitate; instead, it aims to reinterpret and open a small emotional space where the guitar can speak honestly.

I shaped each note with intention, using soft dynamics and expressive phrasing to preserve the essence of the song while giving it that electric touch I enjoy so much. The fragment I chose is one of the most melodic sections, and I expanded it with a few additional lines that emerged naturally while I was improvising. I focused on achieving a clean tone with warm sustain and a subtle vibrato, almost as if each note were breathing on its own.

The loops I used are minimal—just a gentle harmonic base that supports the piece without taking the spotlight. I preferred keeping the instrument in the foreground, letting the interpretation carry the emotional weight. I recorded several takes until I found the one that conveyed the perfect balance between sensitivity and clarity.
