Splinterlands is an amazing blockchain based trading card game that allows players to win both cryptocurrency and NFT rewards for winning matches. However, each player has their own strategy when it comes to rewards. Some players like to open up the rewards as they get them, whereas other players prefer to save up and do a grand opening all at the same time. I can sometimes be a little impatient, so I generally open my rewards as I get them. However, I somehow found the patience to save 15 foundations packs, and I want to share the opening in today's post.

But First.....Let Me Buy Some Potions
One of the reasons that it took me so long to open these foundation packs is because I was trying to save up enough glint to buy a sufficient amount of legendary potions. Obviously, I think it's beneficial to have both legendary potions and alchemy potions. However, I currently play in the lower leagues of the modern format and it is a bit difficult to earn glint. Sometimes tough choices have to be made and since I didn't have enough glint to get alchemy and legendary potions, I decided to go with the legendary potions.

I ended up deciding to go with the legendary potions instead of the alchemy potions for a couple reasons. The first is that they were a little bit cheaper so I was able to afford more of them. The second reason is that I primarily focus on the game from a player standpoint, and I figured that increaring my chances of gettind a legendary would be more beneficial on the battlefield than having a gold foil. Obviously, that's just my personal strategy and everyone's situation is going to be different depending on their goals and how much glint they have available.

Let's Crack Some Packs!!!
Once I had a sufficient number of potions, I decided to go ahead and start opening some packs. I know some people like doing one at a time, but as I previously stated, sometimes I'm a little bit impatient. So I decided to open all 15 packs all at once.

What I Got
Overall, I would say I did pretty good on this pack opening. I got several rare archons, a couple legendaries, and a few gold foils as well. However, there are a couple specific cards that I want to focus on.

Go For Gold!!!
As I mentioned earlier in the post, I was primarily searching for legendaries. However, I also pulled a couple gold foil cards. Regardless of whether they are common, rare, epic, or legendary, gold foils are always a welcome addition to the collection, and I think I did pretty good on this pack opening.
Legendary Little Sister
Although I got several important cards, I think my favorite were the additional copies of Little Sister that I got. Little Sister is an absolutely incredible unit on the Death Splinter because it has the Life Leech ability. However, leveling it up to level 2 is an absolute game changer. Not only does it gain an additional magic attack, it gains the Flying ability, which makes it an absolute powerhouse in the Earthquake rule set.

Join Me In Splinterlands
Opening packs and collecting cards is a lot of fun, but one of the cool things about Splinterlands is that it is possible to earn additional packs for winning matches in the Frontier format. I think this is an absolutely incredible feature, and it's something that distinguishes Splinterlands from many games. Not only is Splinterlands fun and exciting, but it allows users to win additional NFTs. If you're intrigued by this type of game, I'd invite you to join me in Splinterlands using the referring link.
