6ta CONVOCATORIA / Un Poema de Desamor. Estaciones: Epístolas de Verano: Al deseo no cumplido✨ // [ESP-ENG]

Te he pensado en la penumbra de mis sueños, donde las sombras susurran promesas que nunca se cumplen y las estrellas parecen burlarse de mi espera. Cuántos veranos han pasado! y en éste, en la reserva de mis anhelos, vuelves a hacerte presente, tan intenso... tan cierto! Eras tan hermoso en mi mente, tan claro en mi corazón. Pero te quedaste ahí, en el limbo de los “algún día”, de los “cuando tenga tiempo”, de los “tal vez más adelante”. Y ahora, al mirar atrás, veo cómo te fuiste desvaneciendo, cómo te convertiste en un eco lejano, en un suspiro que apenas se escucha. No te culpo, querido deseo. Quizás fuiste demasiado fuerte para mis manos temblorosas, demasiado libre para mi corazón atado. O tal vez simplemente no era nuestro momento, nuestro lugar. Pero hoy, en este verano que parece eterno, quiero decirte que no te olvido. Que sigues ahí, en algún rincón de mi alma, como una canción que nunca aprendí a tocar, pero que aún puedo tararear. Gracias por enseñarme que no todos los deseos se cumplen, pero que todos, de alguna manera, nos transforman. Te guardo en mi memoria, no como una derrota, sino como un sueño que me acompañó en algún momento, como una sombra amiga que me recordó que la vida está hecha también de lo que no fue.

## Greetings! I didn't want to pass up the invitation made to me by @esbat to be part of this 6th Call for entries: A poem to the lack of love. Seasons: Summer epistles by the poet @restaurador through the Hive Cuba Community. I love poetry in all its manifestations and I have rarely ventured into it, so this is a bold move on my part to subtly blend in, like one of those soft aromas that you inhale in the summer of life, among so many beautiful initiatives of the participating poets! Here is my epistle, a poem to the Unfulfilled Desire, which sleeps among our memories... ## To the unfulfilled wish

I have thought of you in the half-light of my dreams, where the shadows whisper promises that are never fulfilled and the stars seem to mock my waiting. How many summers have gone by! and in this one, in the reserve of my longings, you are present again, so intense... so true! You were so beautiful in my mind, so clear in my heart. But you stayed there, in the limbo of the ‘someday’, of the ‘when I have time’, of the ‘perhaps later’. And now, looking back, I see how you faded away, how you became a distant echo, a barely audible sigh. I don't blame you, dear desire. Perhaps you were too strong for my trembling hands, too free for my bound heart. Or maybe it just wasn't our time, our place. But today, in this summer that seems eternal, I want to tell you that I don't forget you. That you're still there, in some corner of my soul, like a song I never learned to play, but can still hum. Thank you for teaching me that not all wishes are fulfilled, but that all of them, in some way, transform us. I keep you in my memory, not as a defeat, but as a dream that accompanied me at some point, as a friendly shadow that reminded me that life is also made of what was not.
