Hola amigos, estoy trabajando en un nuevo proyecto hiperrealista.

Es la primera vez que hago algo así, y sinceramente, no pensé que sería capaz de lograrlo. No me había atrevido antes porque sentía que no tenía el potencial para hacer un trabajo de este nivel.

Siempre veía a otras personas creando dibujos hiperrealistas y me parecía algo inalcanzable para mí. Pero estos días decidí aceptar el reto y me puse a seguir un tutorial sobre cómo dibujar a Morgan Freeman en estilo hiperrealista.

La verdad, me he sorprendido con lo que he logrado hasta ahora. Aquí les muestro algunas fotos del proceso.

# Hi friends, I'm working on a new hyperrealistic project. This is my first time doing something like this, and honestly, I didn't think I'd be able to pull it off. I hadn't dared to do it before because I felt I didn't have the potential to do work of this level. I always saw other people creating hyperrealistic drawings, and it seemed unattainable. But these days I decided to take on the challenge and started following a tutorial on how to draw Morgan Freeman in a hyperrealistic style. Honestly, I've been surprised by what I've achieved so far. Here are some photos of the process.

Primero comencé escogiendo la cartulina: usé una de la marca Canson, de gramaje 240 y grano fino. Sin embargo, siento que la textura de esta cartulina es un poco gruesa, así que para mi próximo trabajo voy a usar el reverso, que tiene un grano más suave.

Al principio, como quería que me quedara perfecto, decidí hacer el dibujo utilizando una cuadrícula. La primera cuadrícula tenía muy pocos cuadros, así que, como no me sentía muy segura, hice una nueva con cuadritos de 2 cm de ancho. Así me resultó mucho más fácil hacer el boceto.

Una vez que lo tuve listo, borré el exceso de grafito con el borrador moldeable y comencé a aplicar las capas de color. Antes de empezar con el coloreado, seleccioné mi paleta de colores para la piel.

First, I started by choosing the cardstock: I used Canson, 240-weight, with a fine grain. However, I found the texture of this cardstock to be a bit coarse, so for my next project, I'm going to use the reverse side, which has a softer grain. Initially, since I wanted it to look perfect, I decided to draw using a grid. The first grid had very few squares, so, since I wasn't feeling very confident, I made a new one with 2 cm wide squares. This made the sketch much easier. Once I had it ready, I erased the excess graphite with the kneaded eraser and began applying the layers of color. Before starting the coloring, I selected my color palette for the skin.

Empecé aplicando los tonos base y poco a poco fui viendo cómo tomaba forma. A medida que agregaba capas de color, fui encontrando el volumen, y después comencé a trabajar las texturas y los brillos.

I started by applying the base tones and gradually saw how it took shape. As I added layers of color, I found volume, and then I began to work on textures and shine.

Ahora ya casi terminé la frente, un ojo y la nariz; y la otra parte del segundo ojo ya está empezada. Estoy muy entusiasmada con cómo va quedando este proyecto. Se ve muy bien y estoy súper contenta con el resultado hasta ahora.

Now I'm almost finished with the forehead, one eye, and the nose; and the other part of the second eye is already started. I'm really excited about how this project is turning out. It looks great, and I'm super happy with the result so far.
