1039 - Vivid Street Scenes in Colors for Monday.
Great Monday dearest Hiveans around the world! A new work week is here and we all know the switch from weekend mode can sometimes feel a little upsetting 😁, so here's a huge dose of positive energy. We hope your day unfolds smoothly and productively and remember to be kind to yourself, take things one step at a time and treat yourself to a good cup of coffee or matcha which I have. You've got this!😉
And now to our colorful shots of the day. Here's two elderly men sat side by side on a low concrete step in the middle of Malcolm Square. Both were in a similar pose with an elbow on a knee and their chin resting in their palm hand. They weren't talking much during this shot but they simply sat in silence while observing the world move around them as the square was filled with people rushing to their destinations or old and young friends meeting up to chat and families spending a leisurely afternoon together.
Then we have a scene in one afternoon sun bath Burnham Park making it the perfect day to be outside which is seldom this months. Here's a group of kids of different ages that wandered closely together along the concrete path. They laughed and chat excitedly while clearly enjoying each other’s company as much as any of the adults throughout the park. The air was still comfortably warm with the signature chill of Baguio not yet settling in until later in the late afternoon. It was a simple yet happy scene where young and old people can find their own kind of fun under the sky.
Then, I was standing on the cold overpass leading to the Baguio City Market along Magsaysay avenue and that's where I paused to take this picture. I focused on these pink flowers blooming by the concrete railing. Behind them with the background was a beautiful blur or an effect photographers pro or point and shoot like me, call bokeh. Through it, you could see the narrow alleyway in the bokeh, it's a small busy path packed with people walking in and out of the famous Pasalubong market. Their figures were blurry shapes that moved quickly in the cold afternoon air.
Then lastly a scene around Burnham Park’s lake which got filled with laughter as I came across a beautiful scene of a family of six people, two parents, two teenage girls and two small children and they were all dressed in vibrant, hand woven Igorot traditional clothes they had rented for the picture taking occasion. They were posing happily with some flowers for a family portrait. This scene was a genuine moment of family love and cultural pride and definitely a memory to be cherished.
