Good Tuesday dearest Hiveans! The week is now fully in motion and hope you're also feeling that positive drive. Remember to take a moment to appreciate your progress to whatever you do, work or napping is fine! Let's all carry that enthusiasm from yesterday and channel it into a truly successful today. And now for our daily shots. After a very long twelve hour journey from Metro Manila until our arrival at Villa Izakaya in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, it all really felt like stepping into a different world of less people and noise. The total exhaustion from the long drive with traffic, it all melted away the moment our feet touched the warm sands of Pagudpud. The place was to be our transient home for the next couple of days and in this first afternoon,we just wanted was to be still right there on the sands.
We made our way directly to the beach front of the property, it's only us four as visitors, my wife, son and a friend...the view was a stunning stretch of sand and calm waters. The air was clean and also there was the refreshing scent of salt and sea. No car noises nor people noises here, oniy the soothing crash of waves getting onto the shore.
My son just also sat there and observe the nature around us. The vast area of the beach was his new playground. He was captivated by the simplicity here as he tried to chase fast tiny crabs and unusual shells on the ground and the water. It was a joy to see him connect so freely with nature.
For us three adults, we did absolutely nothing. We found a perfect spot on the soft sand and just lay down and relax to ease the fatigue from the trip. We didn't talk much but we just listened and watched while we felt the gentle sea breeze.
Then the sun began its slow descent into golden hour time. We stayed right where we were and waited for the sunset. That first afternoon was more than just a stop but was a necessary reset to full charge our spirits, lying on the sand and just deeply grateful to have a moment of peace with the sea.
